Hi OptimiserPrime. Thank you for your work on John R. Ragazzini Award. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating this page, one of several awards of American Automatic Control Council. There is an argument that the prizes are better presented on that page, but given that other similar prizes of the society have had long-standing pages such as a discussion should consider all of the prizes in the round. The key question is one of independent notability; that is, would be the prizes be notable if it weren't for the American Automatic Control Council or the person they're named in honor of.

The award is notable as the highest education award given by the American Automatic Control Council and has a long history (since 1979). Most of the recipients of this award have Wikipedia articles and the Ragazzini award is listed among their highest accomplishments. A dedicated award page is common as shown by the List of engineering awards and the List of education awards. This award is the top education award from a council of control system divisions from AIAA, AIChE, ASCE, ASME, IEEE, ISA, SCS, SIAM, and APS. OptimiserPrime (talk) 14:22, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi OptimiserPrime. Thank you for your work on James B. Rawlings. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating this helpful page. Linking to Wikidata can be another useful step in page creation - add template:authority control and edit on Wikidata to link the page. I've done these steps now.
