Winston Churchill Timeline - NOOO!

[edit]

Hello Onetimeliner!

I'm sorry for having to welcome you with a harst NOOO! in reference to the Churchill Timeline you just promoted on his Wikipedia Talk Page.

Although I like the idea of such a timeline very well, I first would recommend some important improvements to you (as wikipedian as well as personally; therefore here and not "over there", too): 1) Make proper use of capitals, grammer and words, and 2) CHECK YOUR SOURCES, e.g.:

"15 april 1874 ...wedding took place" links to an urban legend site that negates Churchill being born in a ladies room, without mentioning "that other page" of Downing Street 10.
"16 july 1825 ...Jennie's mother BIRTH" links to an scource I'm not willing to even link to, as it has some "interesting" history pages about Nazi politics (e.g. "Lets stop with the Auschwitz lies" or "Theresienstadt was a magical place for the children")

I did not continue my visit, but I fear there might be more of them. Sorry again, but please keep working on it - the idea itself is really great! FloK 17:06, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback, I'll certainly do some more work on the timeline, although I was hoping people would use it a research tool as opposed to being a definitive reference like Wikipedia. If this means that the site cannot be referenced directly then fair enough.
