Invitation to Attend the USA Wiki Conference in Washington DC in October 2015
[edit]Greetings:
I see that you are a member of WikiProject Haiti as I am. I would like to let you know that there will be a 3 day Wikipedia conference in Washington D.C in October 2015. Scholarships are being offered to help with travel. Please consider attending to help us learn together about increasing content about Haiti on the English WP. And how to increase content on the French and Kreyol WP. I look forward to seeing you there. http://wikiconferenceusa.org/wiki/2015/Main_Page NegMawon (talk) 22:45, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Traditional African religion portal
[edit]Hi Omo Obatalá. I notice that you have contributed immensely on articles relating to Traditional African religions. As I stated on the article's talk page here, I have been working on the portal for Traditional African religions. The portal is now finished and can be viewed here. I need your opinion on which image you think we can use as a portal link before submitting the request to the portal team. For example if you add {{Portal|Nigeria}} to Nigerian related articles, the portal would automatically show the Nigerian flag. I was thinking of using this Dogon or Tellem Nommo image. I like it because of what it symbolises: "hands held high symbolising prayer for rain" based on their traditional religion. If you have another image in mind, please share your thoughts on Talk:Traditional African religion#Portal for this topic. I will be adding this to the article's talk page so if we can all comment on the talk page will help keep discussions centralised. Thanks again for your contribution to these articles and hope to read your input in the talk page. Tamsier (talk) 16:39, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
