re:Pictures???

[edit]

WP:Image is a nice guideline showing how to add images to any page.

Basically the syntax is:

[[File:Bad Title Example.png|thumb|right|Example image caption]]

Artichoker[talk] 00:01, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Did you read Wikipedia:Images? I think it explains it pretty clearly. For instance, this code:
[[File:Bad Title Example.png]]

Will produce this:

So you type "[[Image:" and then the file name of the image and then "]]". Artichoker[talk] 02:05, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's there not to get? I'm sorry but I've explained it as clearly as I possibly could. And WP:Image explains it as clear as anyone can. Artichoker[talk] 00:33, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox

[edit]

Hi Omgomgomg888!

I'm sorry I didn't reply to your message so fast...I didn't have access to a computer at the time.

If you wan't a userbox that says something about you, you can always go visit the Wikipedia userbox page and go to the "gallery" section. There will be a huge list of userbox templates that you use to put on your userpage. Here's one I found for you that states that you're female:

♀This user is female.

...you can also make your OWN userboxes if you want. Just go to the Wikipedia userbox page for instructions. If you have any more questions, just ask me at my talk page.

Have a happy wikiday!

Userbox HTML

[edit]

Hi Omgomgomg888!

A simple way to creating a standard userbox for your userpage is to use the code below...

{{Userbox |border-c=#000 |border-s=1 |id-c=#fff |id-s=12 |id-fc=#000 |info-c=#039 |info-s=8 |info-fc=#fff |id=ID |info=Content}}

This should produce the following...

IDContent

Just replace "ID" and "CONTENT" with the information you want to go in the userbox.

I'm very busy today, so I probably won't respond to any more questions you ask me at my talk page. But I'll get on to them tomorrow.

Have a happy wikiday! Artichoke-Boy (talk) 19:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MOTD

[edit]

After 14-21 days, the motto is moved down to the decisions section and the decision of consensus is determined by whoever is moving the motto. Usually a motto is approved if there is enough support or strong support votes although the number of votes is subjective. However, opinions should be reviewed as well. This also goes for declining\rejecting mottos with oppose and strong oppose votes. Mottos may also be reopened if there is a small amount of discussion, with no consensus, or no discussion at all. I hope this answers your question. Simply south (talk) 01:11, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

Hi Omg!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

[edit]
Today's motto...

When you draw a situation - someone is scared or angry or happy - it means the same thing in all cultures.

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
