Omundaungilo village
[edit]Omundaungilo is a village in the Ohangwena Region in the northern part of The Land of the brave, situated about 55 km north east of Eenhana. It is the district capital of the Omundaungilo electoral constituency.[1] [2] .
This place is sandy and forested so much that most of the time it is difficult to access. The most commonly spoken language in Omundaungilo village is Oshiwambo as most people who stay there are Kwanyama tribe subsistence farmers.[3]
Education
[edit]Omundaungilo has a Kinder Garden(Omundaungilo Kinder Garden), Adult Education School(Literacy) and a combined school known as Okahenge Combined School which has grades from 1-10 respectively.Mr Ndadi Martin S. is the current principal of the school. Due to a lack of technology most of the students especially at the senior level end up not performing well because they do not get access to technology like computers with internet.[4] [5] [6][7]
Development
[edit]There is a gravel road that departed from a main tired road from Eenhana to Okongo which proceeded to the village's clinic. There is also a Police Station and a water tank that serve as a distribution point for water from boreholes in the Omalapapa village near the Namibian/Angolan Border as Omundaungilo’s underground water is salty and not fit for human consumption[8][9] .
