Article Evaluation
[edit]While I was reading the English Studies i felt like all the information was relevant to the topic. They talked about the history, the language, the studies of it and the careers that you could use your english studies in. I think this article was neutral because it doesn't really persuade you to go into english studies, it just tells you about it and the different parts of it. The next article I read was tertiary sources. I checked some of the links and a few of them don't work and another one, tried to redirect me to another site.

Bibliography for Birkenstocks
[edit]Some information that I would like to add to this article is more about the founder because I found a different person than the one they had said on the page. I researched the founder that they had and I can't even find her. I also found a lot of article from the LA times dating back to 1992 that I could talk about how they became popular. I also found images from the collection that supposedly brought the Birkenstocks into the spotlight, also found certain celebrities that wear Birkenstocks. On the Birkenstocks website I found a small timeline about the creator and the company and I would also like to add a lot about the footbeds and the materials used to make the footbed since that is what they are known for. Excited to learn more about my favorite shoes and the history of the company.

In 1896 after Konrad Birkenstock created the flexible footbed he opened two shoes stores in Frankfurt, Germany where he continued to make and sell the insoles. DONE After World War II (1939-1945) the Birkenstock sandal was popular among returning soldiers because of the orthopedic support. Article Critique
[edit]In the article[1]about Margot Fraser it states that she was the founder of Birkenstock, but some other sources do not support this claim. In point 7 you have a link about the history about the company[2], but there is no claim that there was a company that was purchased in Hesse. Other than that, your articles are neutral and seem to be on a good start. For your "starting article" make sure the dates are chronological; you have a source from 1996 before 1966.
