Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Member of the Departmental Council (France) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —C.Fred (talk) 03:19, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm I dream of horses. I noticed that in this edit to Spouse of the Prime Minister of Canada, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 04:33, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of Second Ladies of the United States. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Second Lady of the United States. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Second Lady of the United States. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. cnzx (talkcontribs) 08:28, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations

It would seem that Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations is the correct title, see this, but Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations would be the correct verson, see [1] this. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 21:17, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Presidium of the Bundesrat for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Presidium of the Bundesrat is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Presidium of the Bundesrat until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Toreightyone (talk) 01:56, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Oliver, I nominated Presidium of the Bundesrat for deletion as the topic you wrote about may already be included at Bundesrat of Germany and President of the German Bundesrat. You may expand this article with references if you believe that this should warrant a separate article, as long as you can satisfy WP:GNG and have sufficient coverage of the topic. Best of luck, Toreightyone (talk) 02:02, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of House of Lords of Great Britain

[edit]

Hello Oliver Goransson,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged House of Lords of Great Britain for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, House of Lords.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Concerns over your page creation and renaming

[edit]

Hello there. It's great to see you contributing to a range of politics-related articles. However, I have concerns that you appear to be rushing to create content and rename a wide range of articles in a way that might suggests a lack of understanding of how we operate. Namely consensus. Please do not unilaterally decide that established articles ought to be renamed because you happen to think so. Please discuss on the articles' talk pages first. For editors whose work we might come to be viewed as disruptive, despite their good intent, we have a saying here that "competency is required". I do appreciate that you have been leaving very good explanatory edit summaries which helps us understand your actions, but I was particularly concerned to see that you had partially copied content (without attribution) from House of Lords into a brand new article entitled House of Lords of Great Britain. This is not an acceptable practice, so please do not do that again. Should you ever need to expand an article into a new page, whilst removing content from the original, it is OK to refer to the donor article in the edit summary, where attribution for the content can then be found in the page history. If you feel there is genuine value in assisting a user to find a particular article, you are free to create a WP:REDIRECT straight to it. I'm not going to pass comment on the numerous other minor renamings that you appear to have been making, such as removing hyphens from vice-chairman except to ask you at this time to just consider the implications and usefulness of each action, and whether they're helpful or disruptive to other users. If a title needs changing so, I presume, would its lead sentence. Do consider that, too. Regards from the UK, 10:42, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Provinces of Italy into Provincial Council (Italy). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:51, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to President of the Swiss Confederation, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Your bold move was solely based on wrong presumptions. Though we encourage bold edits, there is a need for substantial sourcing of such major moves! Please consider this for future edits. [edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Federal President of Switzerland. The article Director-General of the European Commission has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no such person, there are multiple Directors-General of the various Directorates-General, but there is no Director-General of the entire European Commission

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Chairman of the Workers' Party of South Korea requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader.

However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bruno Gollnisch, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Doctor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Social nationalism, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:28, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Social nationalism

[edit]

Hello, Oliver Goransson. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Social nationalism".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 21:30, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
