Thompsons Pond

I think some automated program interferes with editing. It uses your name I had a real problem with Thompsons Pond. I ended up with only some stub macro during one of my edits. Fortunately I had composed the main article off-line. The history doesn't show anything bad, but for a few moments there was only a stub macro when I edited the coordinates in the infobox (which didn't even show in the history). The rules have been tightened on {{db-repost}}. Check out the text on the warning, or the wording of the rules at WP:CSD#G4. It only applies on reposts where the earlier article was deleted through a full AFD (or TFD, MFD, etc.) discussion. Speedy deletions have to be re-speedied according to {{db-bio}}, {{db-spam}}, whatever. Fan-1967 21:21, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I think the change makes sense. A lot of times, when an article is deleted on nn grounds (failing to assert notability), a new version may do better, and so needs to be judged on its own merits, regardless of the deletion of the first version. Fan-1967 21:25, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
