Team names
[edit]Where did you get the info that "Bavaria Wolltex Maribor" is ŽKK Maribor, that "Tam Bus Maribor" is AKK Branik Maribor, and that "Satex Maribor" was also AKK Branik Maribor? According to this article from 1994, Tam Bus and Bavaria Wolltex were the same team, just renamed...did you just guess which team is which? Because all those team are actually legally different I think, there were many different teams from Maribor which all went defunct during the 1990s / were reestablished. Pogoń Ruda Śląska moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Pogoń Ruda Śląska, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. , {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

[edit]2020–21 Macedonian First League
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to 2020–21 Macedonian First League. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:06, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 2021–22 EuroCup Basketball into 2022–23 EuroCup Basketball. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:12, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

- Thank you for caring about my edits!!!
- First of all, the content deleted by you was put from the official Eurocup website. It was put there simply to clarify why BC Cluj Napoca was placed in the pot 5, although that club has same amount of points as London Lions or BC Prometey. We only had one source (and many other sources copied that one) without any explanation why was BC Cluj Napoca set in the pot 5.
- On the other hand, i found that LITTLE PART of text from the past Eurocup draw in the official Eurocup website, where it was very well explained what happens if more teams have same points. We never had situation in which three teams had zero points until now. Final standings in the Domestic Championship is criterion that puts London Lions in the pot 6. But what about BC Prometey and BC Cluj Napoca????
- Final criterion for placing teams into pots is THE DRAW. Many readers didn't know that information (myself included), which is very important. IF I WROTE "WITH MY OWN WORDS", IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THAT I MADE THINGS UP. Because we don't have any evidence that the draw was held between these two teams in ECA Company, just the final outcome. We only have what we got!!! I just wanted to help basketball fans, fans of Eurocup Basketball and others to understand the issue. I believe that ANY information is bettter than NO information, but if i you like to delete, i must accept that...
- I am editing basketball topics on Wikipedia for years, so i have some knowledge about that topic and how things work in the European basketball competitions. If you don't know much about that topic, i suggest you to keep track of something else and let your other colleague who knows more about that subject review and delete basketball articles!
- Sincerely, Oksimormon. Oksimormon (talk) 20:49, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- It's not okay to violate Wikipedia's copyright policy, no matter how important you think your addition is. Sorry, — Diannaa (talk) 22:54, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi Daniel. According to link you left on my talk page about disruptive editing, the disruptive editor is Respublik. The basketball fans need to now why is, for example, basketball club Hapoel Tel Aviv in the first pot/seed in Eurocup basketball although that club plays only once in that competition. I left the link which leads to another page (European professional basketball club rankings) where it is sourced and explained how the pots are ordered and how to calculate points for each team and also what is the "Minimum Points Ranking"... Hapoel Tel Aviv has only 38 points, but it is clear, thanks to that source, how Isreli's points puts that club in the first pot. Every wiki user can calculate "Minimum Points Ranking" created by Eurocup board and check if i am right. I explained that multiple times to Respublik, but he/she didn't want to listen. Instead he/she keeps reverting "three times a day" my editing without any concrete explanations. I think that it is due to some earlier disputing about a lithuanian article with possible translating issues and now he/she does this on purpose and has some personally against me. If you look the 2023-24 EuroCup Basketball page now, it is rather confusing than educating. I am asking you to check again all the facts and reconsider your decision.

Basketball team names
[edit]Hello Oksimormon,
thank you for editing the teams for the BCL 2024-25 season.
I am normally oriantanting me by the team names in the wikipedia pages of the clubs above the team logos. So not the name of the site.
Isn't that the optimal approach? Or are these informations at the wikipedia pages are not the latest?
I hope for some informations, because I always want to learn. :=) WayNeTraiN123 (talk) 11:02, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- HI,
- Can you give me example? Which club were you meaning? Oksimormon (talk) 11:07, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Igokea, Wilki Morskie Szczecin, Peristeri B.C. and Rytas Vilnius as example. WayNeTraiN123 (talk) 11:14, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- First two teams have their sponsor in their names as it could be seen here https://www.championsleague.basketball/23-24/news/basketball-champions-league-season-9-participating-teams-announced and here https://www.eurohoops.net/en/fiba-champions-league/1689083/draw-seedings-regular-season-qualification-round-basketball-champions-league/
- As for Rytas Vilnius and Peristeri it is not mistake to write their full names, but it is not common practice in Wikipedia, as you can see in the past seasons articles (not just in BCL, but in Euroleague, Eurocup, Fiba Europe Cup...). It is just the matter of consistency, that's all. Oksimormon (talk) 11:28, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
