Eniola Aluko
[edit]Hello. It would appear you are the same editor as User:LegallyWiki87, who was indefinitely blocked. Please declare your conflict of interest. As was discussed with LegallyWiki, you can make requested edits on the article's talk page, but should not edit the article itself. A series of requested edits was discussed here last time. Cheers, Number 57 11:19, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. I am not the same user as LegallyWiki87 and have no idea who that is. In terms of conflict of interest, there is nothing to declare. I have the same interest in editing this page as you do in protecting it and deleting any changes within 24 hours of them being made. What is your conflict of interest? Noted regarding making requested edits on the article's talk page rather than the article itself. I will do that. Sorry I was not aware. Okcezinne93 (talk) 03:49, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, I have now entered requested edits in the Talk page below. I'd be grateful if you could apply them accordingly. Okcezinne93 (talk) 02:41, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies, I have been busy but will try and look at this in the next day or two. However, I would just say that your claim not to be LegallyWiki87 is not really believable – you have been using exactly the same kind of language the previous account did. That previous account also lied about having other accounts (a claim proven to be untrue via WP:CHECKUSER), so at least be honest here. Number 57 15:31, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, no problem. Thanks for your reply. I genuinely do not know who Legally Wiki 87 is - sorry I can't be of more help. I speak English and write in English (as you do) but that does not mean I am the same person! I could also ask you what is your conflict of interest in guarding this page so strongly and questioning other editors? Okcezinne93 (talk) 05:10, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Number 57, a number of requested edits to this page were made in September 2022. You requested for the requested to be made through the right procedure on the Talk page yet totally ignored them. This page has since been edited. Can you please make the requested changes done in Sept 2022 to restore balance and objectivity on this page. Okcezinne93 (talk) 20:44, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

Requested Edits
[edit]{{request edit}} First paragraph of article
Edit: She is as of August 2022 the director of recruitment for Angel City FC of the American National Women's Soccer League.
Change to: She is the first ever Sporting Director for Angel City FC of the American National women’s soccer league and formerly held the position of Sporting Director at Aston Villa women FC from January 2020 to June 2021.
Reason for edit: The current description erases any reference to Aluko as the first Sporting Director of Angel City from May 2021 to August 2022 and her previous role as Sporting Director at Aston Villa. Both roles are widely public knowledge and for some reason have been erased.

{{request edit}} International career, paragraph 5
Edit: DELETE Aluko responded angrily to public criticism of her performance in the 1-1 draw with Mexico in which she wasted multiple goalscoring opportunities.
Reason for edit: The source attributed to this sentence does not give any reference to Aluko reacting "angrily" to social media abuse she received. The editor is attributing a negative emotion that is not reflected in the source and may not be factually accurate.
{{request for edit}} International career, paragraph 7
Edit: Aluko was not called up to the national team after May 2016.
Change to: Aluko was not called up to the national team after May 2016. The Football Association requested for Aluko to be involved in a confidential cultural review questionnaire in which Aluko confidentially flagged incidents of racism and discrimination by the England coach Mark Sampson.
Reason for edit: The editing of this section of the article deliberately omits events in the timeline that provide factual context to a public case against The FA. An additional of factual events to the timeline provides factual balance, context and history to the Wikipedia article. The absence of additional facts makes the article look vandalised.
{{request for edit}} International career, paragraph 7
Edit: ADD sentence after last change -
Add: 12 days after her involvement in the culture review citing incidents of racism by Mark Sampson, Aluko was dropped from the national team.
Reason for edit: The editing of this section of the article deliberately omits events in the timeline that provide factual context to a public case against The FA. An additional of factual events to the timeline provides factual balance, context and history to the Wikipedia article. The absence of additional facts makes the article look vandalised.

{{request for edit}} International career, paragraph 8
Edit: ADD sentence - Aluko later accepted the public apology of Nikita Parris, despite acknowledging it was not a personal apology. Aluko stated ‘black women should always strive for unity and not division’.
Reason for edit: Provides greater factual context and updated timeline. The facts end at Parris making an apology without any detail about who/when that apology was accepted.
{{request for edit}} International career, paragraph 9
Edit: ADD sentence - Bronze’s questioning of Aluko’s ability to be selected for the England team came shortly after Aluko had finished top scorer in the WSL, receiving the Golden boot.
Reason for edit: Provides contextual timing of Bronze's questioning
{{request for edit}} International career, paragraph 9
Edit: Add word "allegedly" to FA investigation had received evidence of Aluko's own negative behaviour, which included an alleged assault on an unnamed teammate.
Add: The FA did not specify to Aluko whether there was any formal complaint by the unnamed teammate about the alleged assault.
Reason for edit: The source only alleges assault which means the evidence relating to that assault has to also be alleged as a matter of fact.
Source: Retain current source
{{request for edit}} International career, paragraph 9 final line
Edit: after ‘did not select Aluko either’ -
Add: stating Aluko would need to be in form as a striker and she was no different to anyone else.
Reason for edit: Adds factual quotation, reasoning and full context
{{request for edit}} Personal life, paragraph 2
Edit: ADD sentence after words "integrity unit" - The FA investigation, which Aluko claimed was a sham that was not designed to establish the truth but protect Mark Sampson because several England players including Drew Spence who received racial abuse were not spoken to as part of the investigation.
Reason for edit: Provides more factual and contextual basis to a FA investigation in the public interest. Provides balance to the comment rather than a bias view of the FA investigation.

{{request for edit}} Executive career
Edit add: Aluko led Aston Villa women to retain the club’s status in the WSL in it’s first season as a professional women’s team
Reason for edit: The paragraph does not give the public any knowledge of what Aluko did at Aston Villa women. No historic context in the public interest. Most Wikipedia pages for football executives would elaborate on the achievements or failures in the executives tenure.

{{request for edit}} Executive career
Delete: Angel City announced Aluko’s transition to the Director of Recruitment role in which Aluko would continue her leadership of player recruitment.
Reason for edit: Multiple sources still name Aluko as Sporting Director and not Director of Recruitment. It is not necessary to name Angela Hucles on Aluko's Wikipedia page.
{{request for edit}} Personal life
Add: Aluko stated that this investigation of her legal role during the same period of investigating her allegations of racism by Mark Sampson was victimisation by the FA and the role had never warranted investigation previously.
Reason for edit: Adds context and balance to the timing of investigation. Current edit is not balanced and gives no additional context.
