Hi Wronkiew,

I am the owner of OK2hookup. I'm new to writing wikis but I had thought that my entry was informative and without bias and had fully intended for other wikipedia users to make changes to the article to suit the standards of wikipedia. I also did not include links to any of my sites. Would it be possible to get another user to write the entry?

I'm afraid that it's virtually impossible. Looking at your site, it's basically a UBB forum converted to your site concept, which still requires signing up for an account through the UBB process and the usual perils of Internet identities. It will easily be abused and I can't see it being viable in any state in its current form. Also, recruiting someone to write an article for you is grounds for an indefinite block for that user as every article must be written from an uninfluenced neutral point of view. Can you explain to me how the article I wrote is influenced? I'll post it here so you can read it again.

OK2Hookup, OktoHookup, or just OK2 for short is a socially conscious STD prevention measure. In its current form OK2 provides a centralized location for people to protect themselves and in turn protect others. OK2 acts as a portal, linking information with lab-certified test results and providing its users the ability to send the results to their potential partner(s). Additionally, OK2 provides people with resources to help prevent and/or treat STD/STIs and provide emotional support through counseling as needed. How it works: ________________________________________ OK2 allows you to let your partners know that you have recently been tested for STDs and are sexually responsible. With widespread use of OK2, the company believes it is possible to lower new STD infection rates by as much as 75% in just 3 years. If one assumes that the vast majority of STD infections occur when someone doesn't know they have an STD, then it can be assumed that more frequent testing among those seeking new partners will not only lower infection rates, but also encourage safer sex practices such as using condoms, lubricants, and other implementations correctly everytime they engage in sexual activity. And because infections spread exponentially when unchecked, they can be stemmed in the same manner as each prevented infection will prevent that many more. Using OK2? ________________________________________ OK2 works in just 3 simple steps: 1. Users signup for OK2 on oktohookup.com. After signing up, users recieve a personal ID (PID) from OK2 and their identity is confirmed. PIDs should be kept private. 2. When users go for testing at a participating facility they give their PID to their nurse or doctor who then then enter the user's test results into the OK2 database using their name, address, and PID to ensure accuracy. When results are ready or updated, users recieve a text message on their cell phone letting you know. 3. After that, users simply text their PID using their cell phone to the OK2 shortcode and OK2 delivers their STD report instantly.* Users will also be able to send their STD report to another person's cell phone and post their STD reports to their profiles on popular dating and/or social networking site. • When a user has tested positive for an STD/STI OK2 does not send a report unless the user has confirmed their reciept of the test results and indicates their desire to share that knowledge. OpenCure Philosophy and Philanthropy: ________________________________________ Philosophy: Open: completely free from concealment: exposed to general view or knowledge: to make public. Cure: recovery or relief from a disease: something (such as a drug or treatment) that cures a disease: a complete or permanent solution or remedy. Simply put, OpenCure is prevention and treatment through public awareness. By providing people ways to protect themselves, they in turn can help protect others. OK2 provides a centralized location for people to do just that. OK2 acts as a portal, linking information with lab-certified test results and providing its users the ability to send the results to their potential partner(s). Additionally, OK2 provides people with resources to help prevent and/or treat STD/STIs and provide emotional support through counseling as needed. Philanthropy: OpenCure is also a nonprofit endowment that will reward scientists who develop proven STD vaccines that reach the market and help to raise awareness to the availability of such vaccines. OpenCure will also endeavor to make said vaccines available to the uninsured and to those who cannot afford them. OpenCure is funded by a portion of OK2 net revenue. History: ________________________________________ Originally concieved in early 2003 at the Marlin, a club on Long Beach Island as a RFID chip that could be strategicly placed on the body and be read by cell phones with integrated RFID readers, OK2hookup, OKtohookup, or just OK2 is a knowledge based implement for the prevention of STDs/STIs. The RFID chip would contain a person's STD report and dates of the tests. A RFID reader would then be able to read the chip and display the test information. This idea was abandonded however in the early stages due to security issues relating to RFID snipers and high cost projections.

I have not suggested that your article was particularly promotional. However, it suffers from three major problems. One is that it is almost completely unverifiable. Because you have not cited or linked to any reliable sources, others cannot check for errors in the article. This is a standard that is applied to all articles on Wikipedia. The second problem is that your company does not meet the notability guidelines for a standalone article. This will continue to prevent an article on Ok2hookup from appearing in Wikipedia until it is the subject of media coverage. A Wikipedia article is not a step on your path for increasing the visibility of your company, it will only appear after you have succeeded through other means. The third problem is that you have a conflict of interest in writing the article about your own company. This prevents you from writing about any negative aspects on the subject, and that negative information must be included with the positive for the article to remain neutral. I hope this helps you to understand why our policies are in conflict with what you want to do. Please contact me on my talk page if you have any further questions.
