You may want to consider changing the spelling to that utilized by the actual Quapaw people, Sarassan, or the spelling used on Treaty documents, Sarrasin, so that when individuals who are googling for him are actually able to find him. Thank you for your comment. The most common spelling among the Quapaw people today by far seems to be "Saracen". It is a good point that there are numerous spellings, and they need to be included so that it will show up in a google search. What would you suggest to rectify this?

Have you been to the tribal website? They do not use your choice of spelling My suggestion would be that you be respectful toward the Nation or historically accurate in utilizing documents though respectful toward the Nation is preferred. You are assuming, which is not helpful or respectful. I am tribal member and personally know the individual who wrote the website you are citing. The spelling you are citing is not the common form. It is a very unique variant from a historical document, and is not the spelling commonly used by tribal members. Assistance is appreciated, assumptions of disrespect are not. The question was if you had any suggestions on how to better incorporate and address the fact that multiple spellings were used. If you have any suggestions on how to address this they would be appreciated. If you actually read the article you would see that it is addressed, however it is probably not adequate which is why help was requested. Ogahpah (talk) 15:12, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
