[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Grading in education, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 21:46, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

What article talk pages are for
[edit]Hi, Objectsshowsarethebest. I noticed your interest in the Talk page at Talk:Bisexuality. Thanks for your interest in this topic. I just wanted to let you know, (quoting myself), an article talk page is not for general discussion about the topic; it is *strictly* for discussing how best to improve the article by suggesting and discussing proposed modifications based on Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, notably that of reliable sources. Any mention of personal values, opinions, or life experience is strictly off-topic at an article Talk page, and risks being removed per WP:NOTFORUM.
If you wish to discuss your personal experiences, background, or opinions, you have a certain amount of latitude to do so on your own user page, or here on your talk page, within reason, as long as you don't go overboard and try to turn them into a "profile" page or "article" about yourself. If you have any questions about any of this, feel free to {{reply}} below. You may also ask any question about editing Wikipedia at the WP:Tea house, or the Wikipedia:Help desk. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 06:23, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- Okay thank you for letting me know! I’m very new and still getting the idea of Wikipedia, so we can have a united encyclopedia! Thank you so much :) I will use the resources you have sent me for the issues I talked about :) - Objectsshowsarethebest (talk) 12:29, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- And if I make mistakes I am deeply sorry for that, I try not too as much as I can so again, thank you for the notice. Objectsshowsarethebest (talk) 12:39, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
Message from Ca
[edit]Hello Objectsshowsarethebest. I appreciate your efforts to improve Wikipedia, but some of your edits have been reverted or corrected, in part because your use of English was grammatically incorrect. If you speak a different language more fluently or require assistance, please feel free to ask for help with your proposed edits on the article's talk page. Please don't use an automated tool to alter spelling or grammar if you aren't fluent enough in English to know whether those changes are correct. There are multiple users who would be glad to help you fix grammar-related issues. To find out about other useful contributions you can make to Wikipedia which don't require absolute fluency in English, see Wikipedia:Task Center. Thanks! Ca talk to me! 01:36, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice I'm not the best editor but I'll try my best to work on articles in need of help! I also wanna let you know I'm very sensitive to criticism, or my edits being reverted so I might get discouraged, but I do thank you for the advice. Can you elaborate on what I did wrong? Thanks for the advice, and I just want you to know I don't use spelling tools. :) - Objectsshowsarethebest (talk) 14:59, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I just want to say first that I don't think you are a bad editor. I hope you continue to edit here! I only think fixing grammar is not your strongest suite. For example, in
Jupiter is believed to be the oldest planet in the Solar System, having formed just one million years after the Sun
. "having formed" is a participial phrase of "have formed". "Have" here acts as an auxillary verb that indicates perfect tense. Perfect tense is appropriate here since it is communicating events in chronological order, where one event leads to another, making the perfect tense feel natural here. - Your other copyedits such as this one look good! You added a helpful link to a obscure figure outside Christians. I suggest staying away from grammar fixes until you get more experience. Thanks! Ca talk to me! 16:22, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oh thanks! The WikiSource is also a little hard to use for me I'm not sure why. Can you give me a link to help? Thanks Objectsshowsarethebest (talk) 18:44, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
