Draft:User:Obinnaonye

[edit]

Hi Obinnaonye, and thanks for your contributions. I moved the page Draft:User:Obinnaonye to User:Obinnaonye believing that was what you meant to do all along. It looks like a user page to me rather than an article. Let me know if I can help you with anything. Best, -- Sam Sailor Talk! 09:14, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

École Heritage Park Middle School

[edit]

Another editor converted the article École Heritage Park Middle School into a redirect to its school district because Wikipedia considers that middle schools are not notable enough to have their own articles. High schools are allowed to have their own articles, though. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 18:31, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is well established practice, see WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. As Eastmain says, it's part of a compromise by which we avoid debating every school on Earth and coming to frequently inconsistent conclusion: we keep the high schools, and redirect everything else to the school districts or localities, unless there's something really special. Before this became accepted, there were about 20 or some school articles debated each day, 1/5 of the total AfD discussions. The arguments were usually very time-consuming, as they involved often ambiguous details about whether the sources were sufficiently reliable and independent, and whether they contained substantial information.
Now I've explained, I'm going to revert to the redirect. DGG ( talk ) 19:50, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus polling pages

[edit]

Can you explain what you are doing by creating all those pages on consensus polling? You have created:

Did you mean to create all of those? Where they test pages? What are they for? --Majora (talk) 05:13, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I messed up, I wanted to do one thing but I clicked a whole bunch of things. I would like those pages deleted. Obinna Onyemaobi (talk) 05:27, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page His Excellency. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You should not just blank previous pages and move content over. Best way is to edit the existing page and if the new name is better move it over. Otherwise page attribution is lost and you risk having your edit/new page deleted.Peter Rehse (talk) 15:47, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
