A tag has been placed on Tionna T. Smalls requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 04:06, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Tionna T. Smalls, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. However, since you have added references and demonstrated notability I will not replace the tag. But keep this in mind for the future. elektrikSHOOS 07:45, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Tionna2.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Tionna2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:00, 15 July 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 10:00, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Tionna T. Smalls. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:33, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Tionna T. Smalls. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ttonyb (talk) 15:05, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Userfication of Tionna T. Smalls

[edit]

Hi. I have restored Tionna T. Smalls and moved it to User:Oateney Silvera/Tionna T. Smalls. You can work on it there for a while, and re-launch it as an article if and when you have got it ready. You asked me why the article was deleted. That was because it did not give any indication that Tionna Smalls was significant enough to warrant a Wikipedia article. To get an idea what is needed have a look at the general notability guideline and the guideline on notability of people. Also you need not only to know yourself that she satisfies the guidelines, but also to be able to show that she does, and you should have a look at the guideline on reliable sources. It is important to realise that sources which are not independent of her are no use in establishing her notability: this includes her own web site, her Twitter page, etc. Also unreliable sources are no good. This includes blogs where anyone can sign up and post, Wikipedia pages which anyone can edit, and so on. I don't know whether she is notable or not, but you should be careful to avoid a mistake which is very common among editors who are relatively new to editing Wikipedia. That is concentrating purely on the question "how can I change the article so it will be kept", and not giving enough thought to the question "is the subject I am writing about notable in Wikipedia's terms". No amount of rewriting will turn a non-notable subject into a notable one, and if she doesn't satisfy the guidelines then any effort put into the article is likely to be wasted, as the article will probably finish up being deleted. That probably gives the impression that I am trying to put you off, but I am not. If she does satisfy Wikipedia's inclusion criteria then I wish you the best of luck with the article, but since I don't know whether she does I am warning you so that you don't waste your time on work that will be thrown away. My message is not "don't work on the article", but "don't work on the article until you have got a pretty good idea that she does satisfy Wikipedia's criteria". You are welcome to contact me on my talk page again if you have any questions. I may not always be the best person to help, but I will do what I can. JamesBWatson (talk) 18:56, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I didnt look at any of the referencing to see if it meets Wikipedias requirement of significant coverage in reliable third party sources, but at first glance I noticed that the draft version is all using the subjects first name, which is against our manual of style as unprofessionally over familiar. "Tionna" should only appear in "Tionna Smalls", otherwise the article should refer to her as "Smalls ".

"I also noticed the phrase "hit series" which which is the type of phrasing that would need to be cleaned up per WP:PEACOCK / WP:ASF / WP:NPOV. Active Banana (bananaphone 23:13, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Oateney Silvera. You have new messages at JamesBWatson's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Hello James! I have read your suggestions and have made changes to reflect them within the article. Please advise if the article is now all set to be published and if so, how would I go about doing that? I am not sure where the page stands at this point, meaning what stage it's in? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oateney Silvera (talkcontribs) 00:50, 6 October 2010

The article looks much better now, well done. I have re-launched it for you. I certainly think it's good enough to avoid another speedy deletion. JamesBWatson (talk) 08:35, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
