Please note that the correct category for many of the people you have added to the category Category:English people of Swedish descent is Category:Swedish emigrants to the United Kingdom, which is usually already present. "Of Swedish descent" implies they were born in the UK of Swedish parentage. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:39, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your correction. I think it is important to differentiate between nationality (medborgarskap) and ethnic group (ras och folkgrupp?) but sometimes a justification must be given because there are editors who resist this distinction when there is a conflict. I agree with the editor above about the category and it raises a specific issue that English today only correctly refers to an ethnic group (in my opinion) since they are citizens of the UK not England. Now which English people might be considered of Danish descent stirs up a hornet's nest I will leave alone. Din syssla på det här ämne är dyrbar. Tack! Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ENGLISH WHELPS for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. Jevansen (talk) 23:09, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Eastern Swedish requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Appeal to the block

Request reason:

My first account version was blocked and as the guide to appealing blocks did not seem clear for me not being an expert in IT and, above all, I wanted to broadcast my knowledge, I decided to open a new account and used it to share the things I know in the fields I am an expert till it was discovered that the owner of the blocked account and this new account was the same. So, when it was blocked, I started again. Another reason for opening was partly I had not much time and I had a lot of knowledge to share worldwide. But I know what I have done is not the right thing, but I assure you that I will never do it again. As a proof, I have not opened a new account since the last block. Because of that and because I have lot of interesting knowledge (I could contribute in the topic of the English diasporas worldwide, about which I know there are more than those appearing on the graphic), I ask for the unblock of this account with this name OISC_HENGESTSSON. P.S.: About [[1]] I honestly believe that it is an English version of BBC2, but to avoid any conflicts in the future I undertake not to deal about this topic without direct confirmation by BBC England (aka BBC English Regions).

Decline reason:

This innocent "I didn't know it was wrong" act might have been more persuasive if it weren't for the fact that this is the eighth time you've been caught doing this in the last six months.

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you:
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:36, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I won't continue doing that, that's for sure. As a proof, I have not opened a new account since the last block. In exchange, if you give me another opportunity, I'll contribute sharing worldwide the knowledge I am an expert at, specifically the topic of the English diasporas worldwide, about which I know there are more than those appearing on the graphic, so I earnestly ask for the unblock of this account with this name. Decline reason:

Merely claiming that you have not created another account to avoid your block is not an adequate reason to unblock you. In any future request please address specifically the stated reasons for your block. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:45, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Tell me what it has to be done to get the account unblocked, I think you understand me. I have a lot of information that I want to share, which is good to everybody with knowledge-hunger.

When a block is applied, it applies to YOU the person. As such, you are not permitted to simply create a new account, because YOU the person are prohibited from editing Wikipedia. It also does not matter if you are an WP:EXPERT at something: Wikipedia is a collection of sourced information, and personal knowledge of a topic is not the goal. If you wish to be unblocked: 1) stop creating new accounts. 2) go away for a minimum of 6 months. 3) go and edit another project within the Wikimedia Foundation. 4) Return to your ORIGINAL account, and request unblock there no earlier than June 1, 2012. 5) Editing anonymously or creating a new account merely resets the clock for a fresh 6 month period (see WP:OFFER for more details) (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:08, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
