"commons"
[edit]There are two things with the name "commons" in them, that you should understand:
- Wikimedia commons at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. That's a sister website to Wikipedia, where free use images should be posted. If you don't have WP:Unified login, you'll need to open an account there before uploading. However, you can also upload them here, at en.Wikipedia and they'll likely be moved to commons later.
- Creative commons (also called CC) is a kind of content licence you can claim when you upload an image. Gwen Gale (talk) 17:17, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]Please stop removing links to active deletion discussions. If you disagree with an image's deletion, the proper thing to do is comment at the discussion (as I see you have done). Removing the links repeatedly, as you have done on several of your uploads, is considered disruptive and can result in a block. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:37, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:Wanglumhoi.jpg
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Wanglumhoi.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --(ESkog)(Talk) 15:38, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Lama (martial art)
[edit]Hello Nysanda, thank you for your note. I would have been happy to help in discussion, but I see that Gwen Gale has protected the article, so it looks as if this has been sorted out for now. Janggeom (talk) 13:17, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
3 Revert Rule
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Insinr8 (talk) 05:48, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
