Hey
hey can you check my shoepedia page that you pmed me about and see if i did the source right, or wrong. thnaks.
I think i fixed it. it should be good!
hey.. i think my page was deleted. do you know why?? thanks
Thanks!
wow! that was fast. You might be right. Can the cultural references and the story of the term as an expression (trains, airplanes, etc) also be explained there? My English is not that good, would you care to fix my definition if necesary? We can continue this on the discussion page. Thanks! --T-man... ""worst vandal ever"" 01:36, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I don't know much, so I need all the help I can get ! Pgc512 23:13, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
I removed your speedy deletion tag from this article because the source is not a commercial content provider. Instead, I've logged it at WP:CP. Regards, howcheng {chat} 22:50, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Human historian page gone
I caught that actually, just now. I thought that was how you did a user article. Sorry. I think I fixed it, but please let me know if I didn't.
SID
I apologise for merging the histories of Focus Film Distance and source image distance. They were by different authors and should have been kept separate. But I am sure that the best treatment is just one article with redirects from older names. What you or Philipcosson need to do now is create incoming links to the article! -- RHaworth 19:09, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Patent nonsense
Please don't tag things as patent nonsense that aren't. Patent nonsense only refers to total gibberish, such as alsk;djJKK:JKJ;kjazs v89c*(***!!!!LKNL. No matter how poorly formatted the text is, if it's legible, it's not patent nonsense. Thanks, Snoutwood (talk) 22:28, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

I am trying to start an article for a website I am a member of, and it is being deleted. I am told to post it in some member-page thing. Can anyone edit this page, then? If not, I need it to be public, as several people will be writing it. Mason4300 22:38, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
thanks, guys. I'm glad you didn't ban me for re-posting it. I didn't get your message until I had re-created the page, and I wasn't sure if you were going to smite me for doing so. I'm new to making my own Wiki articles, so i'm just trying to figure it all out. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mason4300 (talk • contribs) .
E currency exchange and its friends
Thanks for marking those. Properly, copyright violations should get the {{copyvio}} template, article blanking, and an entry in the copyright violations log, but a speedy delete will work, too.
Of course, if the copyright violation problem is fixed, then it will be advertising. Also, it may be a promotion of an unregistered security (from Vanatu, no less), which is a criminal offense in the US. But that's tomorrow's problem. --John Nagle 06:33, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- It gets worse. I've been reading more about "dxgold" and its affiliates. It looks like a Ponzi scheme; everyone seems to be making money, but can't actually get much cash out. It's not real currency trading. It's not even arbitrage. --John Nagle 07:33, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey
I've finished my article on Rha Goddess. Can the article be declassified as not having enough information? I'm sorry it took so long for me to edit it; finding information on Rha Goddess was difficult. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Floetry Spades (talk • contribs) .

pupilometer
Hi! It's been a while since the article pupilometer was written. The original user that was the author no longer exists. I don't see any references to validate the nomenclature, although there is use of it as an Ophthalmic Instrument to measure the distance between of the PD, or pupillary distance from eye to eye when fitting eyeglasses to align the optic centers of a prescription. Would you concur to changing the content of the article? I don't know what your original contribution was, but found this link to your user_talk page in the history. Patent nonsense tag
If you don't think that "Stig Noise Sound System -> a collective of differently aged males harbouring traces of exotic mongreal breeding and painstakingly aquired skillsss in making Mariachi-> Noise Hop and Brutal(and/or)Beautiful-> WonkStep->Spazzcore Showtune's." is "unsalvageably incoherent" as the G1 tag says, you're welcome to re-tag. This may be a borderline case, but a moot point, since it was going to be speedy'd one way or the other. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 21:31, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- No doubt the proverbial snow was blowing, but if I could figure out it was a band it couldn't have been *that* nonsensical. In any case, what's done is done. --Nsevs • Talk 03:05, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Your recent revision of Engineering and the mind's eye article
Your recent edit of Engineering and the mind's eye to Redirect to Eugene S. Ferguson and copying some of the text to his biography doesn't really make sense to me. A famous person and his or her book are treated separately on Wikipedia. For instance, Richard Feynman and his Feynman Lectures on Physics, his The Character of Physical Law, or his Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman. None of these book articles would be merged with its author's biography. Moreover, the Eugene S. Freguson article can't be added to engineering or science book categories. If you agree, please revert it back. If not, please explain your reasoning. --Firefly322 (talk) 02:49, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- My reasoning was partially explained on the redirect's talk page which got hidden in the process of the redirect... The book itself, in my opinion, doesn't meet the relevant notability guideline (WP:BK) - or at least the article didn't assert it - and especially considering that the article was little more than a link to the author's page and the listing of the table of contents, I thought a reasonable solution would be to merge it to the author's page, much as albums and songs that don't meet notability criteria on their own are integrated into their respective authors' pages. (See WP:MUS#Albums). However, if you feel strongly about it, I won't object to a revert; it was a borderline case anyway. Cheers. --Nsevs • Talk 03:02, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- I do, however, find it quite objectionable that you reverted it anyway [1] without waiting for a resonse, and called it "poor" [2] in the process. --Nsevs • Talk 03:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- I realize that Engineering and the mind's eye is still a stub, but it's a good article for the engineering book category. --Firefly322 (talk) 03:23, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Though I can see where you might be coming from. For instance, the application of the guidlines about minimizing derivative articles:WP:BK#Derivative articles might work in cases where the music/song analogy holds. But I believe other standards such as those for academic books apply: WP:BK#Academic books for which the music/song analogy won't often hold. --Firefly322 (talk) 03:23, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for helping me, and sorry that I left the message at the wrong place (I think I left it at a similar place for two other individuals as well). Anyway I will delete the article since it probably isn't very important. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Average Citizen (talk • contribs) 00:21, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Deletion policy
Would it be helpful to go around deleting nasty articles? Average Citizen (talk) 00:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
So if I wanted to delete a nasty article like "Anal Sex" or "Child Porn" it could be brought back from the history tab? Would this still be helpful? Average Citizen (talk) 00:48, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Those pages are not going to be deleted in their current form, as they don't meet the criteria in the deletion policy. Wikipedia is not censored, even if the content may disturb some people.--Nsevs • Talk 00:50, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
For some reason I didn't have the ability to put the "prod" on "Anal Sex" but I did place it on "Child porn". These articles are disgusting. Thank you for your help. Average Citizen (talk) 00:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- And it's already gone. Like I said, those articles aren't going anywhere in their current form.--Nsevs • Talk 00:53, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for all your help. That is all I can do today. I believe the "bestiality" article will be deleted. It is disgusting and should not be tolerated. Average Citizen (talk) 00:58, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Georg & Alma Waldén - thanks
Thanks for identifying this as Swedish; I had guessed it to be a Scandinavian language but was at a loss as to which. Kind regards, nancy (talk) 18:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- XRCE is a great thing indeed... --Nsevs • Talk 18:05, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Wow! I just googled it and found the Language guesser - how cool. I'll definitely be using that in the future. So double thanks. nancy (talk) 18:10, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
NgN (move from User:Nsevs)
- I placed my reply to a message added by another user my talk page at the "NgN" site, since that was what appeared instead of a signature. The user IP address was: 92.46.72.14
- Perhaps I have not correctly understood what the NgN location means. If so, excuse me, I will try to respond in same other way. R_Physicist (talk) 17:49, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion, but does this work if the user has no user account, and is sending his messages from an anonymous numerical IP? R_Physicist (talk) 18:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hm. I'm not sure. Let me try it out.--Nsevs • Talk 18:32, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- You're right, it does have to be from a registered username.--Nsevs • Talk 18:34, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
