  • Hello. This is to inform you that there currently is a discussion here at which your name has been mentioned, regarding the issues of edit warring, canvassing, vote-stacking, and BLP/defamation at the Emerson article (not by you).--Epeefleche (talk) 00:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Galveston image

Nsaum75, did you manage to find out anything about the city logo?

Thanks.

P.S. Regarding the message above ... Funny, my Lebanese friend in college always used to say to his Arab buddies "Keef'ak" (which I think is short for Keef Halak). :-)
Yes, I was told it was adopted in 1915. I'm trying to get something in writing that can be submitted. --nsaum75¡שיחת! 19:57, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
I don't mean to rush you. Would you be opposed to temporarily removing this from the navbox until the image status can be proven? It looks like this issue may be the only thing holding up FA for Free State. Once the proof is available it could be easily re-added. --Mcorazao (talk) 03:32, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Sure, I will remove it. Bureaucracy moves slow, so it may be a while before they send me a copy of the 1915 ordinance adopting it as the city symbol. Regards --nsaum75¡שיחת!‎ 05:16, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Done. Best of luck with the FA. The article looks good, although I might be slightly biased :-) Regards --nsaum75¡שיחת!‎ 05:19, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! --Mcorazao (talk) 14:41, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

NS, are you being harassed? As you know, there is an established remedy for that. This also looks like a possible violation of the policy in this section (#3). If you want help in filing a complaint, please let me know. Hertz1888 (talk) 20:13, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey, let's just get this one knocked out. What do you say? bd2412 T 20:03, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for posting the images! As a note, regarding the Spanish name for "post office," USA.gov uses "oficinas de correos" here so it may be best to translate post office using those words for images of U.S. post offices. In regards to Portuguese I think any translation will be okay. WhisperToMe (talk) 03:14, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey, I didn't know about the PO opening and closing date finder! I'll use that to see if I can source opening and closing dates of various post offices. I will post that in the US WikiProject page. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:07, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Gail Borden

I was confused about whether "Gail Borden" and "Gail Borden Johnson" were the same person... WhisperToMe (talk) 06:17, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Shields in Galveston County highways template

Thanks for the question. I've been removing them from county template I've worked on because it seems to be a Manual of Style issue. There was a discussion about it on the WikiProject's talk page. The consensus was to lose them. That discussion can be found here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_U.S._Roads/Archive_16#Navbox_formatting Fortguy (talk) 18:12, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
