Article Additions

[edit]

You've done a fantastic job adding to the Article on Onnagata. As I mentioned via email, there is no specific word count that you need to hit, but the goal is for you to have added meaningfully to the content available on Wikipedia. You are clearly doing that here. 10/10 Christacraven (talk) 18:12, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review

[edit]

I liked how to the point the lead was however, I do think it should be expanded upon a bit more. Maybe you could add more about kabuki theater. There are some confusing parts. I marked one where I felt two statements contradicted each other. It also state woman were banned from performing but they did so anyway later on in the meiji era. This sentence also conflicts with only men playing these roles which has been established throughout the rest of the article. I really liked the flow of the article and the organization of sections. This also includes how things were weighted and how much writing each section had. The tone was also neutral throughout with no arguments being made. I liked the way you cited everything and your sources are reliable! Awesome job! Lionblaze43 (talk) 19:36, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review!

[edit]

Good job on this first draft! I appreciate how you incorporated discussion of gender into this article, it really helps open the article up. Most of my peer review pertains to the organization of the preexisting article, and things you might do to continue making its contents well-organized and varied. I detail this more in the full peer review. I also enjoyed your contributions to the lead section. Wonderful work! Musically inclined student (talk) 05:32, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
