@171.248.63.149: I know nothing about that subject, or have interest in expanding it. -NottNott 10:37, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Flag

Hi, NottNott.
I've noticed that you are an AfC reviewer but don't yet have the New Page Reviewer flag. Would you please consider heading over to PERM and requesting it? (check the flag requirements HERE)
As part of a larger plan to increase cooperation between New Page Patrol and Articles for creation, we are trying to get as many of the active AfC reviewers as possible under the NPR user flag (per this discussion). Unlike the AfC request list, the NPR flag carries no obligation to review new articles, so I'm not asking you to help out at New Page Patrol if you don't want to, just to request the flag.
Of course, if it is something you would be interested in, you can have a look at the NPP tutorial. Please mention that you are an active AfC reviewer in your application.
Cheers and thanks for helping out at AfC, — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 06:37, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hello NottNott. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia; if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:07, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Not Naughty Knocking Knot knot

Hi there. Thanks for the advice/warning regarding Wiki editing. Yes, as " ~~pung" said mine were rookie mistakes. Just trying to establish that "truth" which is yes indeed an overwhelming topic or "one's own truth" vs. "the truth" can be discussed via many routes be they mathematical, linguistic, artistic etc. Truth has become a grey area in the USA that myself as a retired teacher in Canada had never conceived. I spend most of my day besides necessary things that I must do pondering the universe and my place in it and what I can do to make the world a better place but more than thinking about it, I go out there and try to do things about it and provide food, shelter, water (ideally a little love and peace as well) to street youth who have fallen through the cracks of education, who don't have a phone, who are harassed in libraries for staying there to read or use as shelters. My idea is to get more religious building for use to them with supervsion at night so that they might have a good night sleep without fear of being raped at a shelter nor having to "pimp out the night" for clean bed to sleep in. So ~~I just keep finding them in the snowbanks ready to "off themselves" to which I reply or sometimes have to shock them and yell "not today! You are not dying today. Today I will be your parent and love you. You can kill yourself tomorrow if you need to but not today!" Ideally I cart their grocery cart treasures to wherever they think they need to go and show them the college or university with my daughter's 1990 mixed tape CD playing which is likely when their "big bang" in life occurred like one young man who was thrown out of his home for being gay by his mother.

She had her "truth" I suppose and so did his Catholic teachers (now I am a retired Catholic School teacher so this really gets me) but the "truth" is that here is this kid crying in the snowbank and wanting to die and BEFORE he gets his hand on a gun for himself and or others, it is pretty easy to get the kid some food, water and shelter (someone stopped when I stopped to help and popped him a couple "lobsters" (2x $50 = $100) so I said "hey kid now you can get a cheap hotel!" So he was truthfully saved for one day. Now I blame specifically the new math curriculum of the 1990's in Canada for this and I can say this because I am a retired English, ESL, Art, Media Arts teacher married to a chemical/biochemical engineer turned math teacher so I have a bit of insight and we have 60 years of teaching "truths" between us as the math goes. Man, I listen to people of all languages and relgions and everyone is trying to achieve the truth and peace but that is in idealogical form

~~but I might be a sillyheart to think we can achieve this in reality. However last week in a McDonals's restaurant a bible preaching Dutch Reformed Church believer sat with me and a Muslim man sat down next to us and the topic was the quest for truth and peace but of course had a Christian slant and he went to get up and move. I said to him "Salem" and "Shrookran" (hello and please as in please take a seat and sit with us) and he did. So there it was two older men of completely different cultures and opposite belief systems talking over a cup of coffee and what I jokingly call a ka-nish (like a Jewish pastry sample) and we figured out "world peace". Gee, it was just that simple. I was the Rosetta stone of sorts knowing the Arabic language (note I am French and Irish but ljust enjoy learning languages >Sweddish for u right? or close?), food and the middle religion of "Maronite Catholicism which were the first Catholics actually coming out of the middle east. Blah ~~ Blah ~~ Learn "hello, goodbye and thank you in as many languages as possible, the last being the most important (than you) of course.

So blogging. Have no idea how to do that. Maybe that is "my thing". I don't know yet. Trying to find my niche. Seems very complicated in Wiki world. Working on articles for Big Think and/or Linked In. So you like picking out the no/bad or naught, neine (Can't write in German yet), Nietz (Polish attempt),nada (Spanish) things? Were you a lawyer? I like idea of laws and justice. I gave my daughter the middle name Justine just in case she ever wanted to be one. She is also a teacher with high risk youth in Toronto but starting a high school teaching job in Germany in August of this year (2018). Who are you? Like really "who are you" as in "inside"? Could you answer me in song please because then I will better understand. So think of what song pierced you heart or with which one you identified in the "prime years" of your life when you ideally felt on top of the world and it was your oyster. Can you remember that?

This is my song of inspiration (c) : Watch it is a little "Jesuses-up" in case that isn't your thing but "Breath of You" is more sappy and romantic. My family rated song is "The Snowfest Song" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo3nB7UpPOw

This is who I think I am inside: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KpIV57PSeo&list=RDc5QfXjsoNe4&index=2

OK. Enough said if that is possible from me and again thanks for your kind and constructive words. Take care and goodbye for now,

@Spekka.duhjst: To be clear, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Read What Wikipedia is not. I reverted your edits because they did not meet our policy on WP:Verifiability, and was speculative original research - I do not know anything about the subject matter. The message above is incoherent and reminds me of another discussion I had two and a half years ago, in which the editor misses the point of why they're here in the first place. Wikipedians are here to build an encyclopedia, and it doesn't seem like you're here to do that. In the kindest way, I don't think editing here is going to serve you much good. -NottNott 01:24, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
