Fair use rationale for Image:RueMorgue 62.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RueMorgue 62.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Northern Thunder, I am sorry to inform you that I have closed your RfA as unlikely to reach consensus: there was an 3:1 ratio against the request at the time of processing. However, don't be downhearted by this: I can assure you that your contributions are both highly welcome and valued—many editors have failed their first request for adminship, only to sail through later and become well-respected administrators.

You may wish to review the Guide to RfA before submitting future nominations, as well as well as here and here, both of which list the more highly-supported RfAs. Additionally, admin coaching is a useful aid for editors interested in becoming an administrator. If I can assist you at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. Kindest regards, Anthøny 01:00, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Early closure have been reverted, the RfA will continue as normal. I do personally however suggest that you try to answer some of the concerns raised ;-) Good luck, Snowolf How can I help? 01:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have re-closed this. It has little to no chance of passing at this time. Please relook at Anthony's comments, and work from there. Cheers, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 07:58, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I appreciate any advice Wikipedians can give me to improve my performance. Perhaps then some day I can become admin. NorthernThunder (talk) 08:33, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I certainly see that as a possibility if you really, properly look at the comments of the opposers, keep up your editing keeping those comments in mind, and consider retrying in a few months time. -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 09:00, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Windsor Regional Hospital

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Windsor Regional Hospital requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
