Username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guideline to avoid editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

Copyrights
[edit]Your addition to Billy J.P. Moses has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. The page specifically says "Copyright © 1990-2010 IMDb.com, Inc." which links to a page which explains "All content ... is the property of IMDb or its content suppliers". There must be an explicit statement of it being in the public domain in order for us to accept text under such a claim. Readding the information will be considered vandalism and treated as such. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:21, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
The text you are saying is copyrighted is not even on that page. I'm going to revert your last edit due to lack of a reliable source. NorthernNine (talk) 12:23, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- Please tell me what text is not on the imdb page and I will double-check. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:29, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
The text you were trying to revert from the article. None of it is located on IMDB. NorthernNine (talk) 12:30, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- It is no longer, which implies to me that you removed it. It is still in the google cache of the page and thus still under copyright. If you are the one who originally wrote it please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and follow the instructions there. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:33, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Billy J.P. Moses, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:25, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Billy J.P. Moses. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:26, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Billy J.P. Moses, you will be blocked from editing. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:31, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
This is the final warning you are receiving regarding your disruptive edits, such as those you made to Billy J.P. Moses. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:34, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Copyright problems
[edit]Once material has been published, it is copyrighted; removing it from public display does not change that. It is quite obvious that this text was previously published; it is still visible here. If you are the copyright owner, you can verify licensing of this material in several ways. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. However, removing it from the other site that published it is not an allowable method. I had protected the article while this was investigated; I will unprotect it in a few minutes, now that you have been advised that this content should not be restored until you have verified the license through one of the allowable methods. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:39, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Various aspects of your editing
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Billy J.P. Moses. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing.
If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.
Your user name, in conjunction with your editing history, indicates that your account represents Northern Nine Radio Network. Wikipedia accounts are for individuals, not companies or organisations, so you should not continue to edit from this account. JamesBWatson (talk)
- Is this a recommendation, or a must? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NorthernNine (talk • contribs) 12:53, 22 March 2010
- I would suggest you consider it a "must". While your name is not as blatant a violation of policy as some, it is close enough that it is liable to be blocked under WP:ORGNAME. You don't need to abandon your account history, though. It is a very simple matter to request a name change at WP:RENAME. Your account history will automatically be reassigned. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:01, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
COI
[edit]You may care to read WP:COI, something which appears to apply to you & your edits. --Tagishsimon (talk) 14:19, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
- What can I do now?
You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
below this message box. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.

AfD nomination of Darryl Grogan
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Darryl Grogan. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Darryl Grogan. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
