FordPrefect42 schreibt: According to my sources the first print of Frère Jacques is: Charles Lebouc, "Recueil des Rondes avec Jeux et des Petites Chansons", Paris 1860.

Please support complement EU !!!
[edit]Hi,as a EU supporter maybe you´d like to support this: I´m trying to implement the 'EU' in the city-templates of European city articles. The EU should be mentioned next to the country; like country : Spain / EU Please support the enhancement in these templates and argue for the innovation if you want to. Would be great.

- Er, but the EU is not a country! Even the CIA World Factbook you cite elsewhere states "[The EU] continues to accrue more nation-like characteristics for itself" and "because of the EU's special status, this description is placed after the regular country entries." The World Factbook doesn't consider the EU to be a country, but rather an entity with "special status" and "nation-like characteristics." NordicStorm 08:57, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Stop vandalism
[edit]Stop vandalize article Korsnäs --130.233.243.229 21:41, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- I haven't. It seemed a bit redundant to mention the former Finnish names twice though, doesn't it? Would you prefer if the separate section was removed instead? I know repetition is the mother of all knowledge, but including it once in the article ought to be enough. -- NordicStorm (t/c) 21:44, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please, would you leave references staying, ok? --83.102.5.106 22:03, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

The Veikkausliiga and Europe
[edit]I was trying to summarise the end of the 2007 Veikkausliiga season in the style of the 2006 article, and noticed that MyPa had qualified for the 2007-08 season of the UEFA Cup - something not noted in the 2006 season article. I looked at the page history, and saw that you'd editted that article a while ago, so I assume you have some interest in, or at least knowledge of, Finnish football, and the fact that you are Finnish must surely be a bonus. Myself, I am British and have no idea about the Finnish league, neither can I speak Finnish (though I wish I could) so I can't read most of the websites on the internet which might help me. I was wondering if you could possibly tell me how MyPa came to be in the UEFA Cup so that I can add the information to the article - I checked, and they neither finished high enough in the league nor won the Finnish Cup - perhaps they won the Fair Play Award? Anyhow, I realised it was beyond my scope to find out, so I thought I'd consult an expert, such as yourself. Any help you could give would be gratefully recieved. Thanks. Falastur2 14:28, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for the help. Don't suppose you know if the Finnish Cup 2007 has been won yet, while I'm thinking about Finnish football? Falastur2 17:44, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks very much. I appreciate it. Falastur2 20:02, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of List of R.I.S, police scientifique episodes
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of R.I.S, police scientifique episodes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- no indication of notability
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello NordicStorm! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 6 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Björn Lodin - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Mats Gustafsson (footballer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Kristoffer Weckström - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Sally Salminen
[edit]Hi Nordic Storm:
I found from Wikipedia that you know something about Sally Salminen and that you are from the Åland islands.
I find it to be a hole in Åland islands culture that Katrina is not available in Swedish or English. Everyone has heard of it but few have read it. And its both a good book and informative about Åland.
Over the years I have bought about 10 copies. I even gave an English copy to the Mariehamn library. As best I can tell, all who read it enjoy it. (They also keep the copies I bought so I am down to zero again.).
I was thinking it should be republished, at least in numbers large enough to supply local book stores and gift shops.
I am sure there is no money in it.
Do you know, or know who knows, or know how to start thinking about, who owns the copyrights to Sally Salminen's books?

The article Blue Street (Five Guitars) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Does not appear to be notable as required by WP:NALBUMS and WP:GNG. No evidence of charting or any reviews found.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mattg82 (talk) 22:06, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
RfC at Minority languages --in geographical articles
[edit]I saw that you are member of Wipi Project Aland Islands so I guessed that you might be familiar with issues of minority rights. I just started one RfC at article Minority language. If you are free and interested it would be great if you can give your neutral and informed comment. Please see an RfC at Talk:Minority language § Minority languages in geographical articles. Have a nice day.--MirkoS18 (talk) 15:06, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
