Ruhrfisch comments

As a general note, I usually work on articles with FA as a goal. While I have reviewed some GAs, I have not done so recently (so I am perhaps not the best reviewer for a goal of GA). Still, looking at WP:WIAGA, here are some comments with the GA criteria in mind.

• What would the title of the article be? I assume it would be just Shinan, but it that clear enough? Are there other places known as Shinan? Would Shinan (Qingdao) be better? The only FA on a neighborhood I know of is South Side (Chicago)
  • I think Shinan District suffices, at least until another article appears and disambiguation is required. ɳorɑfʈ ^Talk! 01:42, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
• The lead will need to be expnaded per WP:LEAD so that it is a summary of the whole article. My rule of thumb is to include every section header in the lead in some way  Done
• Would it be better to link to the section on cities and not just the article, i.e. link to District_(PRC)#City_districts in the lead?  Done
• Measurements in just one unit, like In the spring of 1898, the German government signed a treaty that allowed the Germans to lease an area of 540 square km for 99 years, ... need to give both metric and English units. The {{convert}} template does a good job of this.  Done
• The article as it is now seems to meet the GA criteria except for number 3a, Broad in its coverage: it addresses the main aspects of the topic. Note that this is a less stringent criteria than for FAC, where it has to be coprehensive in its coverage.
• Some of the 3a problems are the obvious issues - Demographics is a header without a section, or Health, Welfare, and Education is one sentence and says nothing about Education.  Done
• I would also try to make sure that there are more details on things already in the article - for example, the "Attractions in Shinan" list gives many things that could be addressed elsewhere in the article, even briefly. For example the Protestant church is mentioned here and pictured, but is not explicitly mentioned in the history section. Even a sentence or phrase (when was it built, what style is it in?). Or the castle? Or Lu Xun and the park?
• Things like SND need to be explained too  Done
• Headers need to follow WP:HEAD - watch capitalization and repeating Shinan  Done
