Conflict of interest

Hello, Nomad1200. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Diana DeGarmo, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I am not friends with or related to the subject. While I am a fan, I am simply cleaning up this page and adding appropriate citations to new information. I'm just interested in making sure his page is accurate and not constantly littered with "needs citation" that results in a reversal of factual edits. Ace Young

Hi, Nomad, and thank you for your efforts at removing WP:COI puffery from Ace Young. You might not be aware that while you were making several constructive edits, the evidently COI IP reverted to his self-serving publicity version, and your subsequent edits were to that version, leaving much of that version intact. I rolled back to your 00:21 edit of August 18 since I couldn't easily extricate his version from yours.

I'm going to ask an admin for page protection regarding that IP. In the meantime, keep up the good work in keeping Wikipedia encyclopedic. One note: I could be wrong but one of your citations appeared to be to Wikipedia itself, which Wikipedia disallows. You might have meant to wikilink something, which is allowed. The last edits I made left the page very accurate. Please revert back to the last edited version I made. The current version is NOT accurate (example: he was born in Boulder not Denver) Mr. Young is putting accurate information in but doesn't seem to know how to source things and the formatting is wrong. I am attempting to assist the anonymous IP person by taking what they put on the page and making it acceptable for Wiki. Again, the very last revision I made (adding a citation) was adding to an ACCURATE Wiki page. What is there now is NOT entirely accurate. Nomad1200 (talk) 21:06, 18 August 2012 (UTC)Nomad1200

The revision: "Revision as of 17:49, 18 August 2012" is the most accurate edit. Continuing to revert to what is there now, an outdated and incomplete entry, is just going to continue to cause hard feelings with the anon IP user, who I do believe is Ace Young (based on his Twitter account posts about being frustrated with Wiki). Not everybody is a Wiki expert and instead of creating hard feelings and frustration I'm attempting to source his additions and reword "puffery" to more suitable language. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
