Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Naseem Hamed shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. – 2.O.Boxing 14:29, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You've been reverted by multiple editors at Naseem Hamed. If you continue your edit war I'll report you. – 2.O.Boxing 12:16, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kabsa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Palestine. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, I reverted your edit on User talk:2601:644:8E80:6170:4452:B572:A06D:44ED it contained a WP:PERSONALATTACK encouraging someone to harm themselves. There's no reason to do that and if that IP user is still vandalizing Wikipedia after warnings and such, you can report them to WP:AIV. Thanks. Skynxnex (talk) 15:20, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Skynxnex sorry i was mad because he insulted me and my country Al-Aidaroos 17:11, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand being upset about it (and if you notice, I had reverted their last disruptive edit and if I had seen it continue, I would have reported them to WP:AIV) but it's unlikely (but not impossible) that that IP will ever edit again or even see that message. And your message itself is, in theory, grounds for a potential block for you (I am not an admin and not threatening you, but trying to help you). So going forward, I'd suggest mostly ignoring such editors other than reverting clear disruption and reporting them as appropriate to stop future disruption if it's on-going. Skynxnex (talk) 17:53, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Skynxnex thank you so much for reporting him and thanks for the advice Al-Aidaroos 17:59, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Completely unacceptable

[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely for this completely unacceptable remark. Yes I know you haven't been warned about it, but this comment was so far beyond something even remotely unacceptable it's unbelievable. How someone could ever type such a think and think it's an acceptable comment is beyond me, and I know for a fact we do not want people who think that's normal behaviour here on Wikipedia. What's even worse is the edit by the IP was over 6 days ago and was quickly reverted. You had to go digging through the page history to even notice it and see what it was and then decided that a mild piece of childish vandalism (that you went looking for) was enough to offend you enough to seek out the IP's talk page to tell them the only way they can benefit humanity is through self harm. That doesn't speak to anything even remotely assuming good faith or a reasonable set of edits. Canterbury Tail talk 07:28, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

im so sorry i was just infuriated by what he called me and my country, im just a minor and i didn't really think someone would actually get sad from what i said. I might deserve this punishment but at the same time i got a warning from someone already and i have stopped doing that. I hope you accept my apology Al-Aidaroos 07:46, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The edit that was made to Yemen was the most basic of childish schoolyard name calling vandalism. If you think that's seriously offensive to you and your country enough that you think another person should kill themself over it, then you really shouldn't be here (or on the internet) and clearly lack the competence to edit here.
Now you can request an unblock by following the instructions below and someone else will look at it, but I will not be unblocking you and you have shown no indication that you understand your actions to be wrong. Canterbury Tail talk 07:50, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
the reason i wrote that message was because i've seen alot of hateful edits in the yemen wiki and it happened to be that i exploded at that ip's edit. i hope that the yemen wiki actually gets locked by admins to prevent any of that from happeneing again. Al-Aidaroos 07:54, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

unblock appeal

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Noice Catto (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia Administrators, I am writing to appeal the indefinite block that was placed on my account. I understand that my recent comment on a page was deemed unacceptable, and I deeply regret any offense that I may have caused. However, I believe that the severity of the block is not proportional to the offense.

While I acknowledge that my comment was inappropriate, I would like to provide some context that I believe may have been overlooked. I was not aware that my comment would be so offensive, and I did not intend to cause harm or promote harmful behavior. I understand now that my words were hurtful and I apologize for any pain I may have caused.

I would also like to point out that the edit that prompted my comment was quickly reverted, and I had no intention of continuing any disruptive behavior. I have always respected the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia, and I believe that I can be a productive member of the community.

I am committed to learning from my mistake and being a more positive contributor to Wikipedia. I respectfully request that my block be lifted, and that I be given the opportunity to demonstrate my commitment to the community. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Al-Aidaroos 07:58, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your committment to the community is not in question. Your regret is appreciated, but if you did not know that asking someone to commit suicide would be considered offensive, you lack the skills and knowledge needed to participate here. In some jurisdictions(I don't know about Yemen) there would be legal consequences if you did that and the person actually did kill themselves. I suggest that you not request unblock until you have matured as both a person and editor and can better understand both that actions have consequences, and that words matter. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:14, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Indefinite Block Appeal Request

Dear Wikipedia Admins,

I am writing to appeal my indefinite block on Wikipedia. I understand that my comment was completely unacceptable and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want to assure you and the Wikipedia community that my comment was not reflective of my true character and that I deeply regret the hurtful words that I used.

I acknowledge that my behavior was inappropriate and violated Wikipedia's policies on civility and respectful dialogue. I recognize the importance of maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment on Wikipedia, and I am committed to upholding these values in the future.

While I understand that my comment was offensive and hurtful, I hope that you can see that it was an isolated incident and not representative of my overall contributions to the site. I have been an active editor on Wikipedia for quite some time now and have made many positive contributions to various pages. I have always strived to be a respectful and productive member of the community, and I hope to continue doing so in the future.

I understand that my actions have consequences, but I am respectfully requesting that you reconsider my block (or just make it a little lenient) and allow me the opportunity to make amends for my mistake. I am willing to participate in any necessary discussions or training to improve my understanding of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Al-Aidaroos 08:31, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. We require a level of competence you are unable to display. See WP:CIR. I echo 331dot's comments. You need to go away, leave en.wikipedia alone, for at least a significant number of months. When you have matured and when you have substantially improved your ability to communicate in English, you are free to make a new unblock request. Not before. --Yamla (talk) 09:46, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Yamla alright how long do you recommend for me to leave? Al-Aidaroos 09:51, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The absolute minimum would be six months. I recommend two years, or however long it takes until you have matured significantly and until your understanding of English has improved significantly. So it could be ten years, it could be one year, it's hard to say. --Yamla (talk) 09:53, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
if you were at my position, what would you do? Al-Aidaroos 09:54, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'd find someplace else to contribute. --Yamla (talk) 09:56, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
like what? i need to learn somewhere Al-Aidaroos 09:58, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care. I won't respond further. --Yamla (talk) 10:02, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you feel I am biting the newbies (or I am coming down too hard on you), please just mention it. Al-Aidaroos 10:13, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just because you are blocked from English Wikipedia does not prevent you from contributing to other Wikimedia projects. Consider contributing to Arabic Wikipedia, or Wikisource, or Commons, or whatever. Demonstrate you can contribute positively and can mature; it will take time, likely a couple years at least, but there is an exit ramp. The most important point: do not engage in sockpuppetry/block evasion; doing so will drop the chance of you ever being unblocked to near zero. Curbon7 (talk) 13:04, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Curbon7 Thank you for taking time to clarify this stuff for me 🙏 Al-Aidaroos 13:26, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
