[edit]Hello, I'm Anna Frodesiak. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Genetically modified food, because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:11, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Please don't use Wikipedia to promote your company. I see you adding content to articles specifically to draw visitors' attention to you business or Homemaker City. I suggest using newspapers or perhaps TV to advertise. Thank you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
You're still doing it. Please stop. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:28, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Response
[edit]Hi Anna, thank you for your constant feedback. You must have sent me a message earlier right after I edited an article and added a citation. Sorry I missed it.
I had to read around to understand what Cite Spam is, and it's starting to shed some light on me now.
I would love to help around a bit in Wikipedia. I do a few edits here and there. I help fix common grammar and some punctuation errors. So what type of citations are allowed in here? How can we distinguish a spam versus an authentic citation?
Thanks again for your feedback earlier.
- Hello again. You are very welcome here. The thing is, you have a conflict of interest. You are promoting that company. Please just keep in mind that this is an encyclopedia. Articles about places may include the name of a giant mall if that mall is really notable. But when it comes to namedropping individual stores, it doesn't help the article, and is only there to promote the company and as a way to include a website in a reference for search engine optimization. It's a problem that we're used to seeing and we generally revert it. Please, stick to other forms of advertising for the company, and make edits here that help to improve the encyclopedia that I'm sure you use and value.
