Re:Naruto articles

[edit]

Hello. I apologize for not responding sooner, but I did not notice your message on my talk page until recently. Again, my apologies. As to your request, I feel obligated to say that I unfortunately cannot fulfill it. The original article containing the Akatsuki members, List of Akatsuki members, was deleted over concerns that it did not fulfill Wikipedia:Notability (fiction), with the relevant information merged into Akatsuki (Naruto). As per this guideline, in order for a topic to have an article on Wikipedia, it must be the subject of numerous secondary sources (newspapers, magazines, online publications, etc.) that establish the notability of the topic at hand. As the List of Akatsuki members article could not fulfill this requirement, it was merged into Akatsuki (Naruto). As to the information that you wish to include, much of that is referred to as "in-universe" details, or information that is relevant in the scope of that fictional universe (specific information about abilities, personality, plot details), while Wikipedia strives to incorporate topics based on an "out-of-universe" voice, where fictional topics are considered in the scope of the real world (what development went into these characters, how did the author come up with the idea for these characters, any notable items or merchandise derived from this character, or any critical reception on the character in question). I hope I have addressed your concerns. If not, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 07:33, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
