Comment on your start-class article

[edit]

Hi Nasser,

So far so good, it seems like you are still working on it and adding more information.

I'm actually pretty confused trying to understand the intro part. So this switching happens in B cells and help it determine which antibody to produce? The last sentence "This, now antibody producing cell, is called a plasma cell." seems like it could start a whole new article/section, instead of being a conclusion for the intro-part. Maybe elaborate it a bit more to finish the story?

Images of pathway will be very useful in explaining mechanisms.

Don't forget to link the information in this article to other Wiki articles or external sources, since the content is pretty dense and have a lot of concepts :D. Nhidinh.l (talk) 16:43, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like a pretty solid start in terms of information. I think that the introduction section should cover relevance broader concepts that more directly deal with CSRs, instead of going into the extra information about B cells and cytokines etc. This information can be fleshed out and go into its own subsection about the role of CSR in the immune system. The part of the mechanism section you have up looks pretty good. However, you definitely need a lot more sources and to clarify the information you're providing. Looking forward to reading more! It's a very interesting topic. Rrcopley12 (talk) 20:48, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nasser,

This is a strong start but you have a good amount of work in front of you:

  • Sources, sources, sources. You definitely need more than one. Also, make sure to cite them abundantly in your article.
  • Organization. The initial section is quite choppy and reads confusingly. Some of the information there could probably be omitted, particularly if you link to the main antibody article on Wikipedia, but other information should be included (why does it matter if the antibody is an IgG or an IgM?)
  • Mechanism. Take care to clarify early on that this is mediated by changes in the DNA sequence of individual cells.

Hi Nasser,

At this point, you've improved your article substantially over your first draft, but your article is now significantly less-informative than the current Wikipedia article on the topic, since it has been recently expanded by someone else. For your final revision, I'd suggest incorporating your new information into the existing wikipedia article, and perhaps adding in a new section about the relevance of CSR since the mechanism has been well-explained by another editor.
