Pages parsed

Thanks so much. This has been a big help. --Carlaude (talk) 20:34, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Diplomacy

If you want to see a very contentious article between two polar groups which I stepped in to try and fix the page, make sure grammar was right, and that the sources were true, look at the Rosalind Picard page. If you look at the version that existed before I expanded the page (near a stub) and the version after, then look at all the fighting, you will see how it changed. Also, you can look at my user page to see many poems inspired by the events. For a good week, people on both sides were writing poems in competition with me instead of actually fighting. It was rather amusing. There are links to the poem duels on my talk page next to the poems. Ottava Rima (talk) 14:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Please see the above. KnightLago (talk) 21:22, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

I guess you are already acquainted with this person: Special:Contributions/71.225.223.62. EnviroboyTalkCs 00:02, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
No, thanks for linking me :D. /me sighs. I guess this should go to WP:ANI as I really don't want to get into an edit war. —Nn123645 (talk) 00:05, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Referencing stats

Hi, I know you've been working on parsing a database dump to provide User:Peregrine Fisher with statistics on referencing in articles. I've recently just done the same thing by modifying the Streaming Transformations for XML (stx) scripts used to extract Persondata from the xml dump. This can run over the whole dump in a matter of hours. The persondata scripts can be found at Wikipedia:Persondata#From the XML dump—I modified extractPersondata.stx and pd2tab.stx. If the code would be of interest to you I can post it in my userspace. Dr pda (talk) 04:16, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the message, I would appriciate if you would post the code :D. Sorry for the delay in this reply, I was mostly away this last weekend and saw your message but didn't have time to reply. —Nn123645 (talk) 20:47, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Code posted at User:Dr pda/extractRefCount.stx, User:Dr pda/ref2tab.stx‎, User:Dr pda/extractClass.stx, and User:Dr pda/class2tab.stx. For how to use them see Wikipedia:Persondata#From the XML dump; extractRefCount.stx and ref2tab.stx take the place of extractPersondata.stx and pd2tab.stx etc. The output is tab-separated values which I then put into a MySQL database. The referencing stats, if you are interested, can be seen at User:Dr pda/Article referencing statistics. Dr pda (talk) 03:34, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
