You may have noticed that the guacamole page already contained a link to the wiki cookbook, which is the preferred location for recipes. Maybe you would like to edit that page instead. Burschik 12:04, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Misty Morning Photo
[edit]I assure you this photo is totally authentic - I think the only post processing down on this image is resizing/cropping. This is REAL nature! Taken at Swifts Creek, Victoria, Australia. --Fir0002 www 22:10, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
SHA and modulo
[edit]Hi,
please could you revert your change to the SHA hash functions article? The ≡ denotes congruence modulo (how could one take a message of any length less that 264 bits and, adding zeroes, reach something which has only 448 of them?). —Gennaro Prota•Talk 19:19, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I just reread it and I was mistaken. However, there also seems to still be a mistake with my parentheses. However the actual reason I changed it was that that symbol was not part of my font, so instead I will link the symbol to its article. However, I still believe that the paren was in the wrong location and will leave it that way. If I am mistaken with that as well, then please fix it. njaard 06:56, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
MiB in MoS
[edit]Hi there! In this edit, you implied that the Wikipedia Manual of Style prefers the newer binary multipliers (mebi-, kibi-, etc.) over the classic SI units (mega-, kilo-, etc.). I was unable to find that in the MOS. Could you point me at the specific page/section? Please note that I'm not accusing you of lying; I want to be able to cite it myself in the future. :) Thanks. —DragonHawk (talk|hist) 04:10, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- it is not, but quoth http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(dates_and_numbers)#Binary_prefixes - "the use of parentheses for IEC binary prefixes, for example, 256 KB (KiB) is acceptable, as is the use of footnotes to disambiguate prefixes" (so what is there should remain but the binary units can be added) njaard 06:36, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 19
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Boisea rubrolineata, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Corium (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
