License tagging for Image:OBR2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OBR2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:07, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:COBR.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:COBR.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --TheDJ (talkcontribs) 16:18, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:COBR.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:COBR.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 13:31, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:58, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

[edit]

Thanks for the inquiry. To remove a redirect, just remove the contents of "redirect" with the contents of the page. User:Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Fan was my old username. You can see in the corner the link "redirected from Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Fan". You can click on that link, and remove the redirect contents.--LAAFan 16:00, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oscillatory baffled reactor article

[edit]

I've seen the discussions caused by the deletion of your article. I think there is a legitimate concern that the article was too promotional. If you want it to be kept, you'll have to keep in mind the Wikipedia policies and guidelines pointed out by Rifleman 82, plus WP:N and WP:COI. But to put it simply, here is the key point you need to address: can you provide any independent references about your technology, something published in a journal? If you can do that, then you'd need to write the article in a more neutral and dispassionate way, probably much shorter. You probably need to get rid of the trademark signs, testimonials, and anything that could be construed as "marketese". Try to look at how Wikipedia's best articles are structured and follow their style. You may also have to merge the article into a more generic name. Wikipedia usually doesn't have articles on specific brands and products unless they are deemed particularly notable. This is just generic advice because I'm not an engineer. Perhaps you can try asking for suggestions at Wikipedia:WikiProject Chemical and Bio Engineering. --Itub (talk) 15:11, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:Continuous.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Continuous.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:51, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Batch oscillatory baffled reactor.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
