Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Previous account/s ?

[edit]

Hi there,
Just enquiring if you previously edited back in 2016 under the account Ajaykumarmysuru (talk · contribs)?

I noticed your "Articles I have created" list on you userpage, and when I checked I found that this NinadMysuru account has created no new pages. That led me to the other account, which did create some pages on your list, see here.

  • I strongly suggest that you might want to make a note saying that on your userpage list.
  • Also, drop a note, or template, on any previous accounts' user/talk page noting your new account, and directing editors here.
  • Read WP:Multiple accounts, for anything else you need to do. Generally, only edit from this account, not any others.
  • Any registered user can find out what pages this account has created at https://xtools.wmflabs.org/pages/wiki.riteme.site/NinadMysuru, which is also at the bottom of your User contributions page ("Articles created"), so it's actually a bit useless to make such a list, IMHO.
Regards, 220 of ßorg 15:09, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, both the accounts you mentioned above are of mine only. Due to some reasons, I created new one. Those two accounts are no longer in use, sir. NinadMysuru (talk) 15:25, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Sir" is not necessary, I could be female?! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
FYI, when replying on talkpages, you put a, : or more as needed, to indent your reply. See WP:INDENT. 220 of ßorg 16:23, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Haha! You're right sir/mam!¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Its so confusing also challenging to be in Wiki!! Uffff NinadMysuru (talk) 17:14, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I added one : to the first line, two :: at start of the second, otherwise your sentences don't align on the left. Next line four ::::, then 5 :::::, and so on. You've only been editing for a short time overall, just keep practicing & read the help sections.

Captions

[edit]

Please don't change descriptive captions to something more generic in images. e.g. The rock is mentioned as in the TN portion, not the falls itself. —SpacemanSpiff 08:11, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. But in the Boating section it is written under an image as : Parisal boating in Hogenakkal falls in Tamil Nadu which clearly means that the falls locate in TN. Is that fine?? NinadMysuru (talk) 08:22, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how I read the caption, the article states that the Falls is in both TN and Karnataka but the particular whirlpool damaged rock is in the TN portion. —SpacemanSpiff 08:25, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok with the damaged rock image but what about the boating image caption sir? NinadMysuru (talk) 11:18, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please read the reference in the article: Boating is in the Tamil Nadu side of the falls, also the image title says the same. Likewise, if you look at where the boathouse is located, it is in the TN side, which makes sense since the Karnataka side is the higher altitude from where the water falls down. That the falls itself is on both sides is not a question, but the cations are just descriptive on which part those particular features are. —SpacemanSpiff 12:54, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri

[edit]

Your recent edit on the article , Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri. The infobox is a place where one gets a bird's eye view of the contents of the article. I agree with you that infobox should not list all the awards but I feel, it must have the major awards that define the subject of the article (this is the reason why the param is named "notable awards"), especially when the relevant section is done in a narrative manner. As such I have reinstated four of the most notable of the awards won by Namboothiri. Trust you will understand. Thanks.--jojo@nthony (talk) 13:44, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tachs:, You're right. 2 or 3 notable awards are fine but the entire long list in infobox is not correct. Thank you sir for writing it here 🙏🙏NinadMysuru (talk) 13:53, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Actor "predominantly" worked phrase

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you have removed the "predominantly" from an article Soundarya (edit). It seems like an established standard to list the predominant languages the actor has worked. I do not have any link to it right now, but may be @Ab207 or @Fylindfotberserk might be able to provide more info. -- DaxServer (talk) 14:33, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at Soundarya filmography, I don't think that Malayalam (2 films) and Hindi (1 film) should not be mentioned at all in the lead because they are not a significant part of their career. Because we are leaving out two languages, we decribe she "predominantly" (for the most part of the career) worked in Telugu, Kannnada and Tamil films. -- Ab207 (talk) 05:05, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ab207 ok, we'll rework on it. User:NinadMysuru 05:20, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove the content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2402:8100:282F:4919:FCB9:5CC8:1A9E:9DA4 (talk) 17:03, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The page Hagalavadi do not have any sources to verify but full of fans writing. Infobox parameters were copied from some other page, but still having bicameral and official languages in it!! And founder and founding year of the village is mentioned. But where is the proof?? NinadMysuru (talk) 01:36, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some information does not have proof, such as legends, some historical monuments, some road information cannot be given inline citations. Still need to develop. Please don't remove articles again and again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2402:8100:2822:ED8B:E4C:92F5:C94F:9C98 (talk) 16:36, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sennecaster. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, K. S. Chithra, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Sennecaster (What now?) 21:28, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sennecaster hello! Thanks for writing here. I didn't make big changes to the page. There are other musicians names with whom Chitra had long collaboration without source too. So I added just another name to it, with whom Chitra had a long association in Kannada. Secondly, in the section 'Music Company', the name of her label, 'Auidotracs', has written in capital everywhere. I did change it to the normal typing style. Thats it. I didn't claim anything big there to add sources. Hope it's conveyed. Good morning. NinadMysuru (talk) 22:43, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't about size; as long as it's contestable (so something like "they collaborated with this artist" even), it must have a reliable source per WP:RS and WP:RSP. Hope this helped, and evening! Sennecaster (What now?) 23:12, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kupnalli M. Byrappa moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kupnalli M. Byrappa, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. There is also a WP:UPE or WP:COI issue.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. @Drmies:, thanks for responding so early. Well, I did not add anything new in the said article. I just rearranged it and did not claim anything there. Goodnight:) Msclrfl22 (talk) 15:56, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[1], [2]. Drmies (talk) 16:25, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[3]-> I removed the content in introductory paragraph and kept in some other section. I did not add any fact. Thanks :) Msclrfl22 (talk) 17:24, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[4] here, the removed content was just pasted in Career section:) I strongly believe I did not do any disruptive editing :):) Msclrfl22 (talk) 17:27, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Now I see what happened: this. That was completely unclear, because you deleted content, and then reinserted it in another place, over five edits, and none of them had an edit summary that explained what was happening. So OK, certainly not vandalism, but what you did was very unclear. Drmies (talk) 17:29, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. That was when I was still trying to understand Wiki's rules. I tried to simplified the article keeping things separate such as Introductory paragraph, Career and Short description. That is all. I didn't disturb anything there, to be honest:):) Msclrfl22 (talk) 17:34, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sree Leela requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sree Leela (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Malayalam songs recorded by K. S. Chithra into K. S. Chithra. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 13:50, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
