Friends article assessment

[edit]

As requested I've assessed the friends article. This is the first assessment I've done so I hope it is of some use. I rated it of high importance and a start class at present. There's a record of my reasoning on the discussion page. I'd like to see how the article progresses so please let me know if you decide you are ready for peer review or FA nomination in the future.--Opark 77 20:41, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your kind note on my talk page.--Opark 77 00:49, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

welcoming User:Provinos

[edit]

Hi there - not quite sure what happened when you welcomed Provinos recently, but your message had a <nowiki> opening without a </nowiki> to close it. It took me a while to work out why I couldn't leave a standard template message after yours! Anyway, I've fixed it now but thought I'd let you know for future reference. Best wishes, Bencherlite 10:00, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nighthawkzx. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:GDI Original.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Nighthawkzx. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 05:13, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcoming vandals

[edit]

I have to question your sense of judgement on Wikipedia since you not only managed to welcome a vandal, but a blatant Wikipedia:Username policy violation as well. What on Earth were you thinking? --  Netsnipe  ►  15:00, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sji logo3.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sji logo3.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:32, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Sji_logo2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sji_logo2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 06:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting my vandalism on Muscle Memory...

[edit]

I notice you removed my little request for verification of sources and inspection by an expert on the Muscle Memory article. I must ask you, though, whether you contacted a knowledgeable person in the area to look over the article and verify that the information provided in the article is, in fact, correct, and elaborate on the ambiguous description of the role acetylcholine actually plays in the process of muscle memory. If you haven't, then I will go ahead and mark the article as needing to cite its sources and needing attention of an expert.

As I've stated, the Wikipedia article's information does not reflect the information in the source cited, and furthermore it does not state where the information that is present comes from. On the discussion page someone points out that the article closely resembles information on a non-scholarly website advertising a supplement to increase workout productivity. ArphaxadHunter (talk) 19:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's all good. I went ahead and marked it as needing attention. ArphaxadHunter (talk) 04:37, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:S bolt.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:S bolt.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 02:41, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
