Your comment starting a discussion about the Disclave entry was noticed recently and has been followed up. What I really want to know, though, is what book? Sorry, that sounds like I doubt you but it's fascination and enthusiasm. There are songs and stories, most of them having as much connection to reality as they have in the long history of songs and stories about things. I didn't mention any book, but it's possible the book referred to is Fallen Angels by Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, and Michael Flynn. I haven't read it, but I'm told it includes a lot of prominent SF SMOFs , and references to infamous convention stories. I'm going to try to get my hands on it and see if Disclave is among them.

I found an online copy on the publisher's web site. I'm not big on reading books over the computer, so I'll probably wait till I get a dead tree version, but if you read it and find it, let me know. Night1stalker 23:08, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
