Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Store40.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Diadelosmuertos.jpg. The copy called Image:Diadelosmuertos.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Oregon primate rescue, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.oregonprimaterescue.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 20:28, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Oregon primate rescue

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Oregon primate rescue, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Blair - Speak to me 22:01, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Nicholas Beatty

[edit]

Nicholas Beatty, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Nicholas Beatty satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nicholas Beatty and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Nicholas Beatty during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. The person who made that offensive comment has been given a formal warning (by a another admin), and if it keeps up, he will probably be blocked from the project. Please don't judge us by him. DGG (talk) 13:06, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oregon primate rescue

[edit]

As an administrator, i was able to examine the deleted article. The key factor was the copyright violation Zetawoof mentioned above. It can be licensed to us under GFDL--using the formal procedure at WP:Donating material-- but I wouldnt advise it--the material was public relations talk, not descriptive encyclopedic material. Feel free to create an article in your own words, showing what they do, not saying how what they do is so meritorious, showing notability as shown by outside independent reliable published sources, and giving references to them. Include only a single picture from the public domain--or licensed under GFDL as explained. See WP:BFAQ for further relevant advice. I'll be glad to offer help. Image:19-200x268.png listed for deletion

[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:19-200x268.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Dia de los Muertos (film)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Dia de los Muertos (film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

obscure film, only 6 votes on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0923671/), no independent sources

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Ofrenda.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Radiant chains (talk) 10:06, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Nicholas Beatty (Nicholas photo).jpg listed for deletion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Nicholas Beatty (Nicholas photo).jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Weird Portland United requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I would like to retrieve the deleted material for future editing and improvement. Thank you. Nickleby98661 (talk) 15:54, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Weird Portland United, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 00:02, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
