Sources for things that existed before the internet etc

[edit]

It's more difficult to find sources for stuff that aren't in current super-hero movies, but there are some things you can try. Google only gets you so far.

  • archive.org
  • online newspaper archives and similar. They may be WP:PAYWALLED, but perhaps you can get access through a local library or friends. Or pay.
  • WP:OFFLINE sources are actually ok (!), so if you have an actual book or old newspaper articles on Ernest Ham, you can use them. On WP, I came into contact with an American lady who asked for help on an article about her husband. I said I'd help, and she mailed me pictures of old articles she had in a scrapbook. I'd never written a WP-article that way, but it worked.

If you stick around, The Wikipedia Library will become available.

Hope this helps some! Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:10, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
