I very much hope you will be seeking re-election. If not, I will certainly understand that you have finally had enough. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 22:55, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

General comment to TPWs

Candidates for ArbCom often wait until the last day to post their candidacies, but the situation this year is extreme. If you're reading this and plan to run, you might as well get on with it. Newyorkbrad (talk) 19:01, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

It looks as if there is as much enthusiasm for being an Arb as there is for Adminship or even contenders for Coord of NPP. Time for en.Wiki 'management' to reinvent itself? Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:31, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
There'll be the usual last-minute rush to avoid as much scrutiny as possible, don't worry about that! The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 18:42, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Arbcom may have improved lately - according to some, but the sample size of cases is too small to demonstrate much of a trend. There might be the usual last minute rush but it will be due to users waiting to see who else will be throwing their hat in the ring. I don't see how it would help avoid scrutiny, but it would be a disaster if seats were to be filled simply by default from whomever puts their head on the block. But that won't be the case will it? The instructions say The minimum percentage of support that is required is 60% for a two-year term, and 50% for a one-year term. so those running still need to get more than 50% support to be elected, and at least one of the three contestants registered at this time will be lucky to secure 10%.
