New article in one of many areas I know little about
I've just written up Callahan v. Carey and since I am very far from being a lawyer, I wonder whether I could ask you (or a talk page stalker of yours) to cast an eye over it for any large boo-boos? I have no doubt about its notability but worry about my execution of the task. Thanks in advance, I know you are busy. Yngvadottir (talk) 06:33, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Yngvadottir: Sorry for the delay in my taking a look at this. I think the article is in good shape. Thank you for contributing it. Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 20:47, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks! Someone else stepped in and made a few adjustments. I'm never sure when I paraphrase legal materials. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:57, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks!...
...for your recommendation of the Slate article by Dariusz Jemielniak, which I found to be interesting and thought provoking. Some of what they wrote paralleled my own thinking, and other points were ones that I hadn't considered. Some were even ideas that I have disagreed with in the past, but stated in such a way that they gave me pause to rethink. I don't know if I'll change my mind about those, but I'll certainly consider them again. I don't know how I missed your invoking the article in the past, but I'm glad I caught your pitch this time. After I post this I'm going to see if I can find a cheap copy of their book.
Best,

Help
I am being ATTACKED - WP:STALKING and WP:HARASSMENT by this person - User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz for many months, he apparrently hates me and the visual arts. Please get this guy off my back. Thank you...Modernist (talk) 15:23, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- Please note that a short time ago Modernist was warned by NeilN about using invective like this to characterize ongoing content disputes [1], a warning Modernist has repeatedly disregarded. This comes out of a longrunning content dispute regarding the use of nonfree images of visual art, where Modernist is among those who strongly reject NFCC policy (see, for example, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Visual arts#Under attack, and the related deletion discussions at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2018 June 18 (where many of the disputed uses that Modernist advocated for have already been removed). The underlying issue is whether certain articles on the visual arts are exempt from (or subject to much more relaxed application of) basic WP:NFCC, WP:V, and WP:RS policies. With his side not prevailing in the dispute, he is again personalizing the issues rather than substantively addressing serious policy concerns. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Treated like dirt by many administrators since 2006. (talk) 16:12, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
