New pages

[edit]

Thanks for your appreciation.

There are a number of new pages (mostly small places) in Malda district. You can add information to these pages to start with. Then, there are large number of census towns in Malda district. You can add new pages. You can get a link to the Malda district census pages from the pages I have developed. Cheers. - Chandan Guha (talk) 14:28, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some points

[edit]

I thought I should draw your attention some points:

1. It is against the rules of Wikipedia to use more than one name. Once you use a name you cannot edit anonymously. If there is an edit dispute and an editor is caught using multiple identities he can be banned/ blocked and not allowed to edit Wikipedia. For more details you can see Wikipedia:Sock puppetry.

2. Try to use referenced information. The basic rule in Wikipedia is that all information should be verifiable by others. For more details you can see Wikipedia:Verifiability.

3. See and read other Wikipedia pages and follow the style and format. For town/ village pages you can follow the layout of pages such as Mothabari or Chanchal. Follow standard headings. For more details, you can see Wikipedia:Manual of Style.

Cheers. - Chandan Guha (talk) 12:45, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Malda district, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eid (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Bu Ali Shah Qalandar into Bu Ali Shah Qalandar Dargah. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:24, 26 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
