/* Abrahamic New Age */

[edit]

The New Age you have in this article is science fiction. Please redo it as an Abrahamic religion. Thank you New Age Quenya 996 (talk) 23:51, 24 July 2021 (UTC)New Age Quenya 996[reply]

The New Age Movement does not exist, for it is irrelevant. Paganism was the first world religion only to die out 100 B.C. (or BCE) before the advent of Christianity. No world religion can be native to Europe without the intervention of Christianity.[1] New Age Quenya 996 (talk) 22:29, 25 July 2021 (UTC) New Age Quenya 996[reply]

As to commenting on New Age, be aware that it is currently rated as a Good Article, an elite rating held by ~1% of all articles. The place to have a discussion on changing content is on the Talk page of the article. While there, I recommend you look not only at recent discussions, but also older discussions in the archive of the Talk page. Any comment you wish to make should be to current comments, but the older discussions may be informative. Lastly, for experts wanting to contribute in their own field, there is advice to not reference one's own work. David notMD (talk) 08:40, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am not talking about the New Age or anything related. I'm talking about updating Wikipedia's profile with more recent happenings and replacing old content with new material. Of course, original research is unnecessary and self-made concepts are not allowed. Please refresh your sources by finding new material in lieu with the old ones. Some think that Wikipedia is not a reliable source since the data keeps changing. (Sorry!) Is Wikipedia just for fun along with educational reasons? I'm curious.Quenya 996 (talk) 22:51, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Quenya 996[reply]

Your username

[edit]

Hello, I'll be honest here. Your username makes it looks like your account was created to advance a single viewpoint, which I've seen you've written about. Other users will take you less seriously, and if you are really only advancing a WP:POV viewpoint, you may be blocked from editing. You can see WP:USERNAMES for our username policy and how to change your username. I'm assuming you have intentions to generally improve the wiki, so take this as advice and a warning, not an insult. Don't worry! I am just presenting a more accurate definition of the term "New Age" as defined by the Oxford and Webster dictionaries used in most English-speaking universities worldwide. There are two general categories regarding the umbrella term. The Gaelic for "consciousness" is a medieval Abrahamic religion and the English catchphrase (being new-age) can mean anything eternal. I'll see if I can change my username. New Age Quenya 996 (talk) 13:52, 26 July 2021 (UTC) Quenya 996[reply]

Oh, and to be honest with you, I'm just simply learning how to write for an encyclopedia since I am a librarian myself. No offense. New Age Quenya 996 (talk) 14:01, 26 July 2021 (UTC)New Age Quenya 996[reply]

July 2021: Wikipedia and neologisms

[edit]

Hi, regarding your statement, "I am just presenting a more accurate definition of the term "New Age" as defined by the Oxford and Webster dictionaries used in most English-speaking universities worldwide. There are two general categories regarding the umbrella term. The Gaelic for "consciousness" is a medieval Abrahamic religion and the English catchphrase (being new-age) can mean anything eternal." Wikipedia has a fairly strict policy on neologisms.--Quisqualis (talk) 21:16, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I know. The Wiki Dictionary is the same way itself. Since all Wikipedians have the privilege to add new content being with a reliable source, it would be safe to know that Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, meaning that sources include books, periodicals, newspapers, etc. You may have the editors delete my account on the basis of original research.
