Catalan Culture Challenge

[edit]

I've seen on your userpage that you speak Catalan: From March 16 to April 15 we will be organising the Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start and improve the greatest number of articles about 50 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). We look forward to seeing you! March 2014

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Shumway. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Be familiar with the guidelines and style
  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in an article, and include the "blue link" to that article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) — keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Thank you. Widefox; talk 09:36, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Better Portable Graphics

[edit]

Hello Netol,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Better Portable Graphics for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 17:22, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The New York Times Spelling Bee, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Catalan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
