Namibia's vision 2030

Vision 2030 of Namibia was launched in June 2004 by His Excellency the founding president of the Namibian nation Dr Sam Nujoma.[1] The vision aims to improve the quality of life of the Namibian people to the level of developed countries in the world.It especially focuses on improving the quality of education and health in Namibia.

Vision 2030 focus on eight themes:

  • Inequality and social welfare
  • Human Resource Development and Institutional capacity building
  • Macro-economic issues
  • Population, health and development
  • Namibia National resources sector
  • Knowledge information and technology and
  • Factors of the external environment[3]

The National Planning Commission of Namibia has the massive responsibility to synchronize the activities that will eventually lead to the achievement of vision 2030.[4] The Planning commission has the goal of archiving Prosperity, Harmony, Peace and Political stability in Namibia come the year 2030.
