Victor Rodriguez is a researcher in the Innovation Policy Group [1] of TNO, in Delft, the Netherlands. His main research interests are in the economics science and technology; intellectual property, public health and innovation; and research policy. Hi is currently involved in European projects on those topics, such as the Monitoring of IRIM 2007 [2] and the Conference on Understanding the Drivers of R&D in the Private Sector [3] held in Seville in October 2007 [4].

He has contributed articles to international refereed journals, such as the Journal of World Intellectual Property, Nature Biotechnology, BNA’s Patent, Trademark and Copyright Journal, Scientometrics, Research Evaluation, Science and Public Policy, Les Nouvelles, Technology in Society, Bulletin of Science, Technology & Society among others. He is currently editing his second book.

Previously, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Ottawa and the Conference Board of Canada. He also carried out research at the American Enterprise Institute and the Cordoba Science Agency. He has lectured at several academic events. He obtained a European background at the DG-Research of the European Commission, where he dealt with research contracts for the Sixth Framework Program. He gained international experience as a Program Officer at the Organization of American States in Washington DC and business skills as consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young.
