Folding Legs

[edit]

Hello, this band has had a page up on Wikipedia for over a year, under the previous name Otterclan. I have now created this new page, Folding Legs, as it has come to my attention that the band has changed their name. I edited the Otterclan page to reflect this change, and the Otterclan page was subsequently deleted from Wikipedia after being up for over a year (which I can understand). However, why the Folding Legs page is deleted, I can not understand. The may be part of an underground scene, but they are definitely relevant and have a big fan base on the East Coast, mainly in New York which is where they are based. I came across one of their gigs in Brooklyn last year and have been a fan ever since. I, along with their many other fans I am sure, want to see that a page is created on Wikipedia to reflect the band's new name. If you want to see something substantial that they have been featured in recently, please see this article that features Folding Legs as they were recording for Converse: https://myaccount.nytimes.com/auth/login?URI=http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/11/nyregion/aspiring-musicians-flock-to-a-studio-run-by-converse.html Please, leave this page be. It means a lot to many of the kids out here on the East Coast. Thank you for understanding and have a nice day! Teratripp (talk) 01:50, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Igelle

[edit]

hi. you deleted the Igelle page i created and cited "unambiguous advertising" and "Unambiguous copyright infringement of http://www.igelle.com/about) as the reasons for doing so. i edited the page so that the wording was different to the igelle.com/about page (although we own igelle.com and control the copy there); i also believe the content was factual and not labored with advertising. if you could kindly advise on how to proceed with recreating the Igelle page so it meets Wikipedia's standards, i would appreciate it. many thanks. Jandetech (talk) 05:14, 27 February 2010 (UTC) Jandetech (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]

hi again. i understand now why the entry was deleted. thank you for your work. hopefully Igelle will be created by someone without a conflict of interest. Jandetech (talk) 06:18, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kingsmill

[edit]

Hello I see you want to delete comments about "Kingsmill" which DIRECTLY explain and relate to the subject at hand and DONOT provide EXTERNAL links as you state. Can you explain! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Travelagentfl (talkcontribs)

interpunct

[edit]

th nature of interpunct's notability is much more atypical and nontraditional than usually established notability, but I'd argue its notability sufficient to enter a disambiguation page. It's not a rock band, a web site, or a garage band, or hardcore.Tokomojo 21:53, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Camp Arowhon

[edit]

Dear NawlinWiki,

Forgive me for writing to you in what's probably not the official way, but it's unclear how to do this. Anyway, about a year ago you deleted the entry on Camp Arowhon, a children's camp in Algonquin Park, Canada. This is the oldest co-ed summer camp in North America and the model for the entry matched other organizations that remain in the database. It was a thoughtful and thoroughly non-promotional article, and it represented a lot of work in my part.

So, why? Nothing on your list indicated that it was the sort of article that gets deleted. It seems to me that you were being awfully mean-spirited in hacking at it. Does it make wikipedia better to not have insight about a three-generations old family business that had such an impact on similar organizations around the world?

feel free to email me if you like. seth @ sethgodin.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sethgodin (talkcontribs) 16:34, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ionsonic Records - Deletion

[edit]

I like to thank you for deleting our page. On reflection Wikipedia has turned into quite a private club with too much personal opinion. Enjoy your time.

Request to restore a deleted article "Bootb"

[edit]

Dear NawlinWiki,

You've just deleted the article I created (it was called "Bootb") without giving any time to re-write or edit it. Could you please restore it so I can make it more encyclopaedic? I believe that the subject I wrote about is worth to be in Wikipedia and it's not against any rules. I spent a lot of time collecting all possible data about them to create a most detailed article. If any changes in content are needed - I'm ready to finetune it!

I'll be very grateful to have your feedback!

Thanks a lot!

Request for help from Nawlin

[edit]

Dear NawlinWiki, RE: Center for the Advancement of the Enterprise Architecture Profession

Hi, We have a new section to add and need some help. Below is a brief description about the new section we wish to add. Can you give us some guideance so this will take hold the first time around . . . please remember this is advocacy organization like AMA.

CAEAP is an advocacy organization for the professionalism of Enterprise Architecture. The goals of the organization are to a) ensure that consistent certification standards are maintained, b) that there is a recognizable common public perception of enterprise architecture, c) common ethical standards are applied to enterprise architects, d) universities and standards organizations have a common working point to extend the field, and e) there is a common path to becoming and maturing as an enterprise architect.

In this way CAEAP is a unique advocate for the profession of enterprise architecture. CAEAP provides the roadmap leading the Enterprise Architecture profession to presenting a common face to the public, maintaining strong ethics, delivering consistent certification, and guiding the maturity of enterprise architecture. CAEAP is a benefit to all enterprise architecture organizations, enterprise architects, and the public.

This informtion needs to go on the Enterprise Architecture Profession, Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Architect pages.

Please Advise, thanks in advance director@caeap.org

Thank You

Why was my article deleted?

[edit]

I went through the list of what NOT to create, and I seriously doubt my articles met any of its criteria. Apparently, my article needs to be "notable", an adjective that doesn't include "popular". Well then, may I ask exactly how "8-bit theatre" meets the criteria?

Domus Facina is only going to get and more and more popular, and when it does, you can count on more people other than me trying to make a page for it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dachimotsu (talkcontribs) 10:34, 29 March 2009

Deletion of Bashar page

[edit]

Can you please undelete the Bashar page you recently deleted? It is very factual in all aspects to MANY people on this planet. You deleted it because you (1 person) did not believe in it. What is this the middle ages? Can you imagine what happened to people who wrote that the Earth was round? Their article was deleted by people like you who didn't believe it. But all they did was slow humanity, change, growth, down. Give freedom and tolerance a chance to make us all better sir. Do not fear change. The only blatant fraud is that the world is flat, ....now. Thank you Mr. all powerful editor who controls what goes in wikipedia. I always thought wikipedia was "free". So much for donating to wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steelpulsefan (talkcontribs) 23:04, 1 August 2009

Tom Taw

[edit]

Hi Nawlin Wiki,

You recently deleted my article on hair stylist Tom Taw. Any guidance you might have on how to make this more relevant for WIkipedia would be most welcome.

aLeda - The Original One

[edit]

Hi,

before couple of minutes you deleted page on aLeda. Don't you know that in 2006 , aLeda from Brazil introduced the first transparent rolling papers to the world. aLeda is the inovator and pioneer on the market of rollign papers. Aleda stimulated revolution in roll-your-own community. --Karloianis (talk) 20:59, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hachiko 100

[edit]

Hi Nawlin Wiki Can you please explain why you deleted my additions to the "charm bracelet" entry. I spent a great deal of time, adding to the history of this section and cannot see any reason why this should be deleted. I read up on the wikipedia policies and tried to add the information in the correct way. I have no doubt that the article was a much more complete history after my additions and the information is also correct. The information was referenced to charms.uk.com and was a well researched history, the links added are in essence no different from the other links already attached to the article, which are also charms websites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hachiko100 (talkcontribs) 13:47, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Linsmith Spectrum Industries

[edit]

Hi Nawlin Wiki Recently you deleted my attempts to create a Spectrum Industries page. I am a student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and need to create a wiki page for a course, I choose Spectrum Industries because I find their classroom furniture exceptional for the learning environment; I guess its a personal promotion for our University to upgrade it's technology in the classroom. However, the page keeps getting deleted for advertisement...I'm not trying to advertise for them, just trying to complete a class assignment. I've read the speedy deletion guidelines and am still confused as to how can I make the page less advertisement in appearance?

Also, how do you respond...if you want you can e-mail me at smithli@uwec.edu. ThanksLinsmith (talk) 17:05, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

q

Metarelic

[edit]

Could you please give me some more specific pointers as to why this article is deemed deletable? I would like to know why you think that article is self advertising/promotion? It is a neutral article about an artwork, in a gallery. I see other articles about other certain artworks, which are far less informative. The piece of art is currently being written about in art magazines, which I will be adding as references shortly. The whole point of this artwork is that is references it's self on the internet. It does this through two different outlets: one is a self titled webpage, the other is wikipedia. Does this change that it is an article written objectively about an artwork, which does in fact exist and is of interest to people? I would be grateful for any help--XavierPoultney (talk) 19:33, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly another item for the list?
