You've got mail

Hi. I am the official social media representative of Harsco. You just deleted all the updates I made to the Harsco Corporation page. There is nothing promotional about the content. The information is factual and identical to the information we provide to investors, on our website and to the general public. Please tell me how I can have the edits I made restored. Breezie article

It was deleted, but I should use it on my wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.82.213.156 (talk) 20:47, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User:PureTalentMovie

Hi NW. Quick note: I'm not sure it's worth a block but it seems pretty clear that PureTalentMovie (talk · contribs) and GigiBonnet (talk · contribs) are at the very least meatpuppets. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 03:39, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hub Merseyside SALT

Dear Nawlin, did you remember to SALT Hub Merseyside after deleting? I can't see anything in the logs about it, but I might be looking in the wrong places. Thanks! -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 17:23, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Sigma Team

Please, leave it opne and they can understand the Russian-based company who made ALien Shooter. Rabbitgentleman (talk) 09:04, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User Block?

The user Big Poppa Z seems to only exist for the purpose of vandalising the Bobby Petrino page. Think an indefinite block is warranted? Hushpuckena (talk) 20:47, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Embassy English

Hi Nawlin, thanks for PRODing this article. It made me improve it significantly and I hope the next time you check it out, it will pass. I considered both your comments and reduced the copy to the most important facts only and added more 3rd party references, so that the subject of the article is more notable as you mentioned. There are many more 3rd party sources about Embassy English, but isn't the standing 10 external/independent sources enough? The article is under the PROD scheme until Mar 13. Will the changes I made remove the notice at the top of my article? Thanks for your response. Kucherjan (talk) 11:52, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for removing the promotional/advertising content - the article is a lot better on that point. I'm still concerned about the lack of independent sources - basically, all you have is the same trade magazine's awards over several years. But I've removed the PROD notice and replaced it with tags asking for more support for the company's notability, and more sources. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 14:45, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Turner (civil servant)

Please can you explain why this article was unsuitable. I made clear that he was a very senior civil servant. Further, I referenced his entry in Who's Who. Inclusion in that book is of course a gold standard for permanent notability; if that doesn't establish eligibility for inclusion here, there is something very wrong.--SvanBueren (talk) 12:46, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NawlinWiki, an RM to move Japanese-American history to History of Japanese Americans was successful; see Talk:Japanese-American history#Suggested move. I see the latter is move-protected. Would you mind undoing that, either temporarily or permanently, so I can make the move? Or if you'd prefer, could you move it yourself? Thanks, BDD (talk) 21:03, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! --BDD (talk) 21:55, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've tried looking for anything that indicates that this user has any socks. He's applied for an unblock at User talk:Billbene. Can you take a look and comment on why you blocked him? Bjelleklang - talk 09:52, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It seems pretty obvious to me and I have declined the requests, but if I've got wrong feel free to say so. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:52, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Undeletion

Hi NawlinWiki. Just a courtesy note to let you know I've userfied a page you deleted after a request at WP:UND; it's at User:Marcela Zabala/Veronica Khosa. I've asked that the user check with an administrator (mentioning your name since you deleted the page previously) before trying to move it back to article space, so you might get a message from them at some point. No criticism of your deletion, by the way; I'd have done the exact same thing. Yunshui  10:36, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete this page? Is it because it is a sock puppet of a sockpuppeteer? Who is it? Eyesnore (PC) 23:22, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited World revolution, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Revolutionary party and The East is Red (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request unprotection of New Jersey

Hello. Four years ago, on 10 March 2009, you protected the article New Jersey to prevent page move vandalism. I'm sure that by now the vandal has moved on. I would like to request that the article be unprotected. Thank you. 24.22.75.14 (talk) 22:36, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Question Regarding 2007 Deletion

I realize this is ancient history. I work for a management company that runs a local chain of stores called Forza Coffee Company and I noticed that there was a Wikipedia article that was deleted in 2007. Mostly I'm curious as to why (and what content it may have contained). Lee C Thompson (talk) 19:49, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • The entire content of the article was: "Forza Coffee Company was founded by Brad and Cindy Carpenter. Forza is a specialty coffee company serving espresso drinks, specialty coffee beverages, teas, soft drinks, smoothies, fresh pastries, sandwiches, salads and whole bean coffee. Forza, in Italian, means "Strength". The Forza logo is a Roman coin with the phrase "Forza di Vita". Translated, this means "The strength of life"." The article was deleted under speedy delete category a7 for not asserting how the company was notable per WP:CORP. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:12, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am now really, really confused about what happened at Aliens: Colonial Marines

When I was trying to revert this, I decided to hit rollback, which would have made the page show this revision. And now you've made a few edits and everything seems to be fixed. Thank you for helping me! - a boat that can float! (watch me float) 15:17, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • The problem was that there were two accounts vandalizing the article, and you rolled back one vandal's version to the other vandal's version. When that happens, it's easiest to just find the last clean version and restore that one using popups. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 15:25, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
True, that was what I was about to do but you were faster. Thanks again! - a boat that can float! (watch me float) 15:38, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Hennessee Group LLC page due to incompleteness.

Hello NawlinWiki,

Thanks for deleting. I was in the process of writing the wiki in its entirety, but understand the required citation etc.

Please let me know how I can better prevent this from happening again?

Best,

NawlinWiki - Could you please check this and respond. It's holding up an unblock request on UTRS.--v/r - TP 13:22, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
TP - I responded to you by email on March 27 and advised that I had unblocked the user. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 14:41, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ohh, well then thanks. I never got it, but it seems I also never received my copy of the message from the Mediawiki software either so that's strange. Thanks for handling it.--v/r - TP 15:11, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Martin Wolff

This is just to let you know that I intended to create an article on Martin Wolff a German professor of law who emigrated to Britain in 1934. I see that you speedy-deleted (A7) an article with this name in 2008 (2008-04-10T04:05:35), so I thought I'd better tell you, though I am sure this person is notable. I assume that the deleted article was for someone else of the same name or the creator had merely neglected to give adequate indocation of his notability. I would be grateful if you could confirm that, since I do not have access to the deleted article. --Boson (talk) 23:14, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vile Display of Humanity

this is DavidJaysonFoster, i was trying to create a page for the band VDH that just got signed, and was hoping to expand the "crossover thrash" wiki page with their band. can I get my page back up? Thanks!

  • You would need to be able to cite reliable sources, see WP:V, to show that this band meets our notability standards for bands, WP:MUSIC. Also, the article should be written in neutral language and not as promotion, see WP:NPOV and WP:SPAM. Language like "their music should make you think while at the same time make you wanna punch yo mamma" will get you deleted every time. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:06, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
