Decline reason:

We can't help you unless you provide the IP address in the block message that you receive. If you do not wish to give your IP address publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to give it privately. 331dot (talk) 10:02, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thank you for your help.

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 213.208.157.38. Place any further information here. Nathaniel Filip (talk) 10:17, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

@Favonian: This seems to be correctly identified as a colocation webhost, but it is hardblocked. Can you comment? -- Amanda (aka DQ) 06:34, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Amanda: I have fallen into the habit of hard-blocking proxies/web hosts due to their frequent use by LTA lowlives. If you deem it excessive, I'm quite willing to soften the block. Incidentally, it looks like NF has found a way to edit without the use of the colocation web host. Favonian (talk) 18:44, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Favonian: I didnt find any way, Im just not blocked anymore so Im able to edit again. Im really not very good IT person and dont understand all of this. Especialy what web host means and what I did wrong that you wanted me to be blocked for one year in english wikipedia where I edit so litle. Nathaniel Filip (talk) 18:56, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's literally "nothing personal, purely business". The IP you mentioned belongs to a range (213.208.157.0/25) that enables editors to hide their real IP address when they access the internet "through" them. When I blocked the range, it was used by a very persistent troll to harass a fellow editor. Favonian (talk) 19:08, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Favonian: Ya with any colocationwebhost block I always soft block it unless there is another reason to block it differently. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 01:10, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DeltaQuad: Can anyone tell me what is webhost? And why should I be blocked for one year? Thank you. Nathaniel Filip (talk) 13:16, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Besdies the explanation above, there is Web hosting service. We are working on a way around the block for if you encounter it in the future, but it seems like you have resolved that issue. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 01:10, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
