Millennials edit[edit]
There is a discussion going on at Talk:Millennials#Semi-protected_edit_request_on_12_April_2018 about the ending dates. Please discuss there first instead of changing the lead. Someone963852 (talk) 07:30, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- Any reason for this edit? [1]. Please do not remove sourced data before discussing the reasons why on the talk page first. The Pews Research source is a recent research based article that actually explains why the cut-off dates are the way they are and should be/will be given higher precedence. Hi Nathan, please be aware of WP:3RR. I realize User:Someone963852 is being particularly disruptive in edit warring to change the longterm consensus version of the dates in the lead, but don't let this editor drag you into disruptive editing, or you might end up blocked for wp:edit warring. When dealing with disruptive editors such as this, it's usually best to take it to the talk page, and then just walk away for several hours and not get into a quick back and forth revert situation with a disruptive editor. --DynaGirl (talk) 11:49, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
Use the talk page to gain a consensus before you make any changes[edit]

- Someone963852, why are you telling Nathan.T.Medina that he needs to gain consensus on the talk page before making any changes to the Millennials article? This was actually a warning for you [3] per [4]. While disruptive editing or edit warring could very well result in a block or similar warnings for Nathan, I’m not aware that he’s under any such editing restrictions currently. Why do you keep telling Nathan that he can’t change the Millennials article without prior consensus? I’ve noticed you saying this not just here but also on talk:Millennials as well as WP:NPOVN?--DynaGirl (talk) 03:21, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- Because there is currently a dispute going on and disagreements between editors and on the changes, that's why he needs to discuss on the talk page and gain a consensus first before making any changes. That is the Wiki policy for all users. Given his history of non-neutral POV editing on the Millennials and Gen-Z articles [5] and being reverted in in the past, I'm sure there will be a lot of disagreements with the changes that will need to be discussed first. - Someone963852, it is not wikipedia policy that all users need to attain prior consent before making any changes. Also, when there is a dispute regarding newly added content, it's typical to return to a version of the article prior to the dispute, rather than keep the newly added content precisely as it is until the dispute is worked out. However, at this point, it seems a full reversion would be unreasonable as there seems consensus on the talk page regarding tweaking and rearranging to improve instead of a complete reversion (and improving instead of full reversion is always recommended when possible). As far as I'm aware Nathan is not currently under any editing restrictions requiring him to attain consensus before making any changes to the articles, while you are [6]. However, considering that this article has recently been brought to the attention of WP:AN3 and WP:NPOVN there are likely a lot of eyes on it, so he'd be strongly advised to avoid edit warring, and to make sure to adhere to WP:VERIFY --DynaGirl (talk) 13:50, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

This especially applies to users like Nathan.T.Medina who has a pov-pushing history and who has edited and been reverted in the past on the two articles.
