Re: LaMont Johnson
[edit]Hi Nancinova, any information you could add would be welcomed, just please remember to provide sources (for example, the websites you mentioned). Let me know if you need help, although I'm currently traveling and may not respond right away. You can always ask for help or advice at the WikiProject:Jazz talk page, where more editors are watching. Thanks again! -- Gyrofrog (talk) 17:12, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
Dear Gyrofrog, Much of the information I was going to add is from a website that to my surprise is still available: http://www.lightlink.com/casesupr/history.html. LaMont wrote this and other pages to promote his Advanced Counseling Services, which he created a few years after leaving Scientology. I was planning to limit myself to biographical information since the Wikipedia article is on LaMont the musician. Although his spiritual presence was strong even in the mid-sixties. Since it's a live website and since it's ostensibly written by LaMont, does that satisfy the criterion of verifiability? If I directly quote some of it with a reference link, does that keep within copyright laws, even if the website is taken down? Hope you are enjoying your travels. I work full time and generally do "projects" only on the weekends, so this could take a while. Nancinova (talk) 18:40, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds fine, I was just try summarize in your own words as you can, but cite the source in either case. You can always use your sandbox to try it out first (should be a "My Sandbox" link at the top of the page). -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:22, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

How do I respond to a message that responded to me in my talk? I only see a link called "edit". Nancinova (talk) 22:34, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hello Nancinova, first of all Welcome to Wikipedia :). You can easily respond to messages on your talk page or any othr discussion page by clicking the "Edit" link for the section which you wan to edit and reply to. Then after that post your comments/reply on the bottom (after the last post), use preview button for checking any mistakes and then click save. Hope that helps :) Thanks and Happy Editing!
